mr2 MKII.

i turned the boost up to 13 on mine today (waiting for a turbo upgrade to go balls out) and damn that thing pulls..

handling is supurb as well- far more precise with stock rubber bushings than my 86SE is with full poly. you know the 88/lotus suspension stories we have? they have them too, but theirs could very well be true. one rumor is that the MKI MR2 was actually originally and entirely a lotus design, but they sold it to toyota because of the reliability stigma lotus had at the time. it was supposed to be the lotus x100 or something, but got renamed at toyota.

honestly, i have to say i like the uniqueness of the MKII as well. from 91-95 toyota only imported about 15,000 of them to the US AND canada. they're fun to drive, fast, sexy and get lots of attention. tonight at applebee's, a guy walked up to my girlfriend and i at our table and wanted me to show him my car. i've never even gotten a second glance in my fiero. obviously, it's not about the attention, but it confirms the appeal they have.

with how similar looks-wise the fiero and MKI were, it really does make you wonder how successful a MKII fiero would have been.. oh well, too late now.........
