As the title states, I would like to build basically a brand new look around the fiero.I kinda redid the fiero when I did the yello car, but want to redesign more of the body. I have already looked at sourcing out materials and plastics.I plan on using existing panels and adding to them for the build up for the inital look. I have basically 5 months to complete this project, from now till the show date. I have some really good plans and ideas here is a list of componnets I plan to use: 1. 2.4 DOHC Mistubishi motor. 2. Retool the current mustang bumper to give a simalir look. 3. Cut and install a Dodge stratus Dash 4. Use a Mitsu Elcipse WIng 5. Mr mike leather Accessories. 6. 67 lookalike Ford cougar tailights, 7. New door panels. 8. Held suspension on all 4 corners. 9. hidden headlights. 10.maybe even a targa top form a nissan pulsar I will be out sourcing al the plastic panels in china. I plan on doing almost all of the work myslef.
Id like to hear any more ideas that may sound feasable for a car like this,,, I only have 5 months so.. Id love to paint it very simailr to the Yellow and Black drag car we seen at the 20th. this isnt a reach guys,.I think it can be done with time and effort.

Yellow, I think what everyone is trying to tell you is your taking a American car and putting a bunch of foreign parts into it. I kind of feel the same way but don't let anyone stop you from building your dream machine. That's what makes us who we are and our cars different. Post some pics when you get them Anthony
Strange choice of engines, but , if you already have one then go for it! I think that what some people forget is that you are basically taking the traditional hot rodder approach, use what you have, be different and keep the costs down.
I am not talking about the new "designer" hot rods where some rich dude walks up to Chip Foose with a bucket of money and says "Build me a hot rod!", I am talking about the old timers who wwedged hemi's and BBCs into 30s Fords, ripped off the fenders, painted it in black primer and spent the next 20 years "improving" it. Those are real hot rodders.
To answer your PM. I know there are kit cars, but a fiero just isn't a fiero unless it was fully sanctioned by the general, it just isn't the same car.

1984 Se, to be powered by a v8 from the GM family line.
Buying a 84 Converted with parts from a 50,000 mile 86 GT but still a notchback! Great Car, will have in a few weeks for $200.
LOL... I can't believe I didn't pick up on that the first time through.
Ron (and Smooth), Do whatever makes you happy... they're your cars. Many a great things began with someone saying "Hmmm, I wonder if...". Of course many disasters started that way too. Never know 'til you try...

Being a GM car guy, hearing about you putting parts on the car from other manufacturers sounds a little odd to me. Putting in a foreign-made engine sounds even stranger. At first my reaction was "no. no. no. Don't do it. NO."
Now it's more like "Hmm... could be neat to see... where will this go?"

Not to be an orge, but you guys really need to expand your horizons. He is making his own hot rod just like many (many, many, many) before him. A rebody with a Firebird dash and a Northstar is the same thing, its just that more people like the concept.
I say "go for it". It's not like you are trying to make a profit on the car. It's for fun!

would you guys rather have me change a few thing on my current ride for tis show?
I just thought it might be easier to start with a much cleaner chasis for this show. I mean I can use alot of the items I was going to do for the next one in yello, but I will keep the engine intact if I use yello.. Smooth,, is yello realy embarassing the fiero since it has a 355 nose, flushmounts, clear led tails and IRms?

I love Yello.... I ment adding all the foriegn stuff... WOW is a MAJOR show and I would'nt want the Fiero to get laughed at, thats all I was saying....
How about a fastback clip for Yello? As hot as it looks now, it would be even hotter as a fastback.

I have thought about a fast back clip, however ,, I think yello would blend in a biot to much with all the other fastback modifides out there. When you see the new bumper and tailights as well as the new wing for her, I hope you will like it..
Thanks for the nod of the car looking hot,, I appreciate it very much..
