As I stated in my earlier post, we have been enjoying judged participation at our Keystone State Chapter events here in PA.

Being judged gives everyone a fair chance and pretty much eliminates favoritism that can be a factor in "popular vote" (I hate that term! "Participant Judging" sounds much better!) events. Judging also rewards those that work hard to restore and clean and keep their vehicles in great condition. And it gives a Fiero a chance to beat a Trans Am, or any other modified V8 beastie. I've done it!

So, what I'm saying is I hope Dale's efforts toward "popular vote" classes don't eliminate judging for Fieros at all POCI events. It could happen if POCI issues new "guidelines" to all chapters.

Dale, please be mindful of this in your negotiations.

I have been a long time member of POCI and the local chapter. I always wondered why there was no chapter nor not much mention of Fiero's by POCI. Oh course I was into Trans Ams. Still love the 79's, but had to give mine up because of a divorce. I am now remarried and my new wife likes cars! I wanted a Pontiac and a sport car. The Trans Am's were to pricy or didn't run. So, I bought a Fiero. I'm finding that there isn't much support from POCI and the magazines don't print anything on this Pontiac that isnt' shared with that shitty chevrolet division. You would think that being a Pontiac exclusive that more attention would be bestowed to this automobile. Oh well that's my .02 worth.

Space Coast Fieros

I don't think I've ever seen the same rules at the many events I attend.

Stock = exactly like built
Stock=stock: easy enough, replacement of worn parts (which ones?) tires, batteries, exhaust tips, wiper blades, floor mats, 3.1/3.4 replacement engines.

Custom = Car looks stock with 1-3 modifications visable, wheels, nonstock paint, a 3.1 or 3.4 built to look like stock, specialized graphics. Or should there be additional modifications allowed. Or should any engine upgrades go to modified classification?

Modified = custom + lowered, 3800, 3.4 DOH, V8, scoops, wings, etc

Rebodied cars professionally done or owner done.

Where would the addition of Mr Mikes seats fit in? Automatically custom or be considered a replacement part?

From my going to shows, classifications and judging is one of those things that you can't please everyone. So if 51% of show participants are happy, you've done good. But you'll only hear complaints from the 49% who weren't. Not my idea of a good position to be part of.

Then how many of each type of car attend each show?
