Good suspension I guess. It's not like I pulled a wheelstand or anything. As for the decals yes, they are coming off. I used to hang with the ricer crowd a couple years back. Now I'm not sure what crowd my car fits in. And Fiero X I have been impressed with your car's performance but it still looks like a beater. Work on your asthetics before you come back talkin' smack.

First you talk trash on my engine, "V8's are the sh!t, your V6 is worthless, youll never beat me". Now that I post up some times you come back talking trash on my bodywork? Sounds to me like someone is intimidated by my little V6.

uuuummmm.....I never said any of that. if that's how you PERCEIVED it then that's your business. i still think the V8 conversion is superior to toying with a V6 on any level. AND i still believe my car will kick your car's ass. i'm at a disadvantage because i can't post timeslips, videos and other things like you. if you read my post, i didn't even know how to post pics at all. my G/F e-mailed them to this other guy who so politely posted them for me.

i'm not going to get into this "my car your car" crap again. right now i'm waiting on my 4 core radiator to come in from Archie because it's so damn hot down here i can't even drive it without overheating. so for the record, i AM still working out the bugs.

Guys... you both have great cars.... FIERO cars... if you need to prove your manhood, why not team together and find some ricer boys and takethem to school. Remember, we're on the same team.

Peace,

Roy

So what did you run in it? Post them later, I always do. I just tell what I ran, then get flamed and get the BS flag pulled, then post the slips to shut everyone down.

and if everyone were to go back and look, it was in that VERY thread that you made your first mistake. you jump in bragging about an engine that's not even built yet and then must dig yourself out of a hole for 6 months trying to back it up. i was doing just fine ranting and raving about my POS 2.8 and then you jump in and speak on behalf of all V6's.

there are stil plenty of people here that would like to see your car do 11's and i am one of them. as for the V8 crowd, most of them started out doing 11's after the swap. i will admit i have had my fair share of problems with the axles, heating and so forth. but tuning ? the engine's been juuuustt fine, which reminds me of why i did the swap in the first place.

80's boy you have one sweet looking car, and the V-8 to match. FieroX, you have done one heck of a job on a swap to make one quick/fast a$$ Fiero. Congratulate each other, and leave the childish stuff to kids. The "my car is faster than yours" stuff makes those engaged in the argument look really childish...

HAHAHAHA

Where is this thread? there is ONE guy with a 400 small block running expensive injection and a crank thats worth over a grand. he has a hell of a lot more power than either of you too.

Fact of tyhe matter is FieroX is the ONLY one to produce timeslips & video's for a 12 sec fiero.

Archies 400hp Drag car bested a low 13

Cal Kid says low 12's and I would be inclined to believe him, I have an article about his car before it was his

Tina did a 12.9

Get yourself a video camera and go to the strip and be done with it.

Not one v8 here started out in the 11's , your DREAMING. I used to bash Fierox too until he started posting videos of his car.

Stop talkin smack about what your car is going to run , and go run it. It's the easiest way to put an end to this , and in your case , after all this BS talk , you better video it.

Whats wrong with his bodywork? looks stock , lowered with a nice set of wheels. Not an attention whore.

I'd say Pizzaboy has you beat before you have even started.

I think all this is funny. V8's are cool, but after I saw a V6 Grand National pull 950 rwhp on the Power Tour, it just shows you any engine can be quick. Have a lovely day.

It's not about how many cylinders or how big a displacement an engine has, but how well its built. Look at supra inline sixes for example. They would rock pretty much anything that goes into fieros these days (with a lot of work put into them of course). Nobody can honestly say that either a v6 is better than v8 or vice versa, because there are many different engines, some better some worse. I mean, you couldn't ever say that a 289 v8 is better than a 3.8 grand national motor, nor could you say that a 2.8 v6 is better than a northstar.

Anyway, you both have great cars, so why not stop arguing, and have fun with what you got. To each his own. I personally am starting a quad 4 swap, and although it will never run 12s, I still think it's the best swap for my application.

Here is one more L67 in the 12's. http://www.camjam.net/aspgallery/pictures/Ad_14_1.jpg
I've got 4 more just like them. "Neal" was at the track. Nice guy I have to say. Calgary's track is at 3500 feet, by NHRA chart. Corrected to sea level, puts me at a 12.2 second pass. Corrected to the track I normally would run at, Medicine Hat, 2300 feet, puts me at a 12.5. NHRA chart, listed by track can be found at http://www.abmustang.com/cobraguy.htm
It is a pretty cool resource for comparing your times and MPH to others who run at other tracks. For instance if I wanted to compare to FieroX, I would take my 12.779 multiply by 0.9575 for Calgary Canada resulting in 12.235 at sea level, then I would multiply that by 1.0154 for Wichita, KS resulting in a 12.424 second pass. This does not take into account actual corrected altitude for either location, IE weather, but it gives a good idea. ICY

according to this http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc/altitude.html my 12.88 pass would of been worth a 12.18 at sea level. What kind of 60's are you seeing with those 12's LFiero?

Like I said, the chart does not take into account absolute corrected altitude. If you have a weather station available at the track and can get a absolute corrected altitude then you can use your chart. I ran a 12.76 at Medicine Hat, corrected altitude of 3800 feet. By your chart that makes 12.16 seconds. That was with 1.7x 60 foots. I don't have timeslips for that day, so I can't prove them, the printer was not working. So I work with the timeslips I do have, but I don't have an absolute corrected altitude, so I go by NHRA altitudes. Is the altitude you are calculating with taken with a weather station?

Yeah it was, but its not hard to calculate it without one. You just need to do it soon before or after you go to the track.

Lfiero67, i never did catch your name on friday night...

But calgarys altitude really does suck, corrected to sea level i should run mid 14's with my 3.4, but at the same time after seeing your car im starting think i need a 'real' engine.

fieroX id say for now your only the second fastest L67fiero, when is the cam going in?

Thanks Neal, my name is Cory. I know the altitude sucks, but I did not check the corrected altitude so I don't have a number to calculate on. If you aren't doing anything on Saturday, think about taking a trip to Medicine Hat. The track opens at 9:00 for junior dragsters, but there is a street car competition starting at 4:00 pm. Medicine Hats track is only at 2300 feet, and I know a few people there and should be able to get a corrected altitude at the site. ICY

Either you're in seventh grade or thats just how stupid you like appearing with ending comments such as that. I have nothing against your car btw..now that I've seen it I can say it looks pretty damn good if you get the white interior changed and a tad bit less yellow on it. As for you...I dont have anyhting against you..but you did make some pretty asinine comments towards Ryan's car being 'A pizza beater' which is really far from the truth. I know that car is badass..and I'd take it over yours any day of the week. Nothing against your car or anything..but his is good looking. And I know he is going to improve the looks on it...and if it looks anything like his photoshop design on his site...It will look twice as good as yours. But thats just my personal opinion. I'll apologize if I came out to be an ass, and I'll forgive you for appearing to me as one..just dont continue the trend ok?

I'm not talking trash but where do you get 410hp 80sboy? I dont think so....

I have the identical engine with about the same specs (holley 650 double pump, high rise, ported polished balanced blueprinted, 4 bolt main engine, see the sig)

And there is NO WAY I have 410hp.... As for lifting the tires? No way you are doing that....

I mean sure maybe you are, but seeing is beleiving, my car is so close to yours (engine bay looks IDENTICAL) and I can tell you, without NOS, there is no way you are getting 410hp.

Show us a Dyno slip to prove it otherwise.
