God bless you all, and I'm looking forward to meeting any of you at the up coming shows.
I thank those those who took the time to express any opinion they might have had. We all have the right to post them, and I think we've exhausted this one for now.
We all know how each feels, and further name calling won't help any more.
Love you all, take care. Thanks. Dave

Um..............I dunno why I'm sticking up for blackstang when he trashed talked me like 50 times. But why is every one here judging him as he judges you ? like saying bullcrap about his mustang being in a fine heard of fiero's ? I personly Like mustangs ! hell If I coulda afforded one I woulda got one over the fiero ! replaying to what he said by saying ur car is better then his is just stupid......... and saying that the fiero looks better then the mustang is bullshit to ! Is it a fact somewhere that the mustang officialy looks BETTER then a fiero ? no. That is you'r personal opinion and makes you guy's sound like ur saying my batman toy is better then ur superman like some five yearold's! so that's just a dumb reply of ignorance.

I love it! Lisa, you've now contributed at least two distinct phrases to my vocabulary. (the other one described your off-colour fender when you were restoring your GT
Best! Ben.
PS: blackstang, you seem like a decent enough fellow, when you're not attacking the population of the online community you are choosing to associate with.
It does not do to piss off the entire town you live in for no good reason
I think you'll find that you don't need to 'stand up and defend yourself' half as often as you think you do.
Best! Ben.

I just wish, I had a fiero with 1700 miles. just think in 20 years how much cash that car will be worth. I know a collector guy, that collects old t-birds and has to restore them. None of them ever had 1700 miles and they cost big $$. He has 30-40,000 into them. He can sell them for maybe 50 - 100,000. think about this stang. Dave bought the car new, let it sit. paid maybe 18-22,000. 20 years from now that car can sell for 50,000 to a collector. In 20 years your V6 stang will sell for scrape metal. Dave is a smart man, and I'm very glad he dosen't drive it. He keeps the Fiero alive.
Peace,
Tony

Like I said, if you think the collector value on fieros is ever gonna be near old thunderbirds and mustangs, you are dreaming. I wish I had a fiero with 1700 miles too...I'd slap in some nos and start driving

I hate to tell you this. But the same guy told me this.
#1 the same amount of t-birds were made #2 he looked up collector value for fiero in 20 years. #3 Dave's fiero will be worth big $$$ #4 Your not to smart

In all fairness, I have to post that this is my opinion as well. Also, how many people here look down on people who buy SUV's that will never even see a dirt road much less go off road? This is the same thing as what BlackStang says. We think it is (wrong / silly / whatever) to buy an SUV or a sports car if you are never going to drive it like an SUV or sports car. [/soapbox]

Ummm... won't that just make him giggly? At least he may be easier to get along with...
Ok, ok. My opinion? Oh, you didn't ask for it? Well, here it comes, anyway.
I love driving my Fiero, even though I'd like it to have some collectors' value in the future. I am a supporter of 'enjoy it while you can'. I also do think that buying an SUV and driving it like a car (always) is a waste of money (Steve N. )BUT, I do think that people have the right to do what they want with their vehicles. And MOST importantly, I dislike people who get in your face about something they believe in and say you should be just like them.

Why do these turkeys tell you how you should live your life, spend your money, and what to drive, and how to drive. They must live a real pitiful existance and should live it on a mustang forum.
I say the stang gets the hook.

Hey, my mom once bought new furniture for the living room and no one was allow to sit in there. I thought it was kinda weird but then I realized that if she could AFFORD the furniture and since it was an EXTRA room and it was HER house she could do WHAT SHE WANTED and MY OPINION didn't really matter anyway. Isn't that kind of the same thing?

I personaly would have driven it more only because I'm to weak to see her sitting in my garage and not drive. I had a boss who was the same way. He had a 89 porsche 911 and would only drive it like 3 or 4 times a year. I always waundered how he could go outside on a sunny day and by pass his 911 for his company car Ford Taurus. I would have been ripping the targa tops and flying down the road! I just couldn't let her sit.
Blackstang....i have a couple comments towards the messages you've been posting lately. the first couple of posts you've responded to weren't what i'd like to call very nice, BUT you've improved dramatically on re-wording your opinions and i began to look at you from a different perspective. (thats a good thing.) also i'd like to say the comment about how much your car is worth compared to coolblue's... was uncalled for due to the fact us fiero owners love our cars and have alot of respect for one another. We take pride in how they look and how close to mint condition they are. I think its awesome that coolblue has enough balls and willpower not to take that thing out everyday, lol, i know i couldn't. The difference between fiero owners who belong to fiero groups, clubs, or forums compared to people who just happen to own a fiero... is that we take pride in what we drive and take time to learn about as well as assist other fiero owners in problems that may arise. This is why alot of the members to this forum gets pissed off at you for what appears to be "rude comments." I can tell you are very opinionated and speak your mind, but please consider this reasoning before you post anything. personally i think you have changed a bit and are definately trying to get along with other forum members. Also i want to add, that my dad owns a red 96 mustang GT convertible (white top/interior) as well as my brother owns a souped up black mustang. I even considered greatly buying a mustang (one big mustang family) but decided upon a fiero to convert into an V8 kit car. Mustangs are very nice, ive admired them for some time now. My dad's gets ALOT of looks around town because of his. anyways, my point being, i thought posting the price range for the two cars from kbb kinda pushed some peoples buttons, and i hope in the near future you consider the reasoning behind this and respect us enough to not make comments like that anymore. (im not telling you what to do or lecturing you on anything; just something to think about) thank you for your time Ashley*

I personally got my car to use it whenever the weather is good. As a matter of fact I even took it out today to get the oil changed and a short ride. The weather is great today and I might even go for another ride later today. As for the value of the car, if I could find an 88 T-Top like Coolblue's I would be willing to pay more than what the car cost new. Our cars were a limited run of 5 model years and a low number of production. As they get older and less of them are left, those that want them will be willing to pay more for them. As for the Mustang, which probably sold more than all the Fiero's combined in just one year, It too could be worth more if it is the right model and has the right options. The only problem with the Mustang is the same as with the Camaro and Firebird's. There are a whole lot of them. I prefer a car that is a little more unique. I even considered a 73 Opel GT, the one that looks like a mini Corvette, but I desided that the Fiero was more fiting to my taste. I could actually buy almost any new car, or used car for that matter, that I desire. If I'm willing to spend the money. I even looked at Corvette's before buying the Fiero and almost bought a Prowler. Im not full of sh*t, just ask my wife, she didn't approve of me getting any other car. I just like the fact that the Fiero is more unique. Not a me too car. I could care less if it is not the fastest car out there, or the best handling, or safest. I just know I like it because it looks exotic and is not very common. Just my 2cents worth.

I hate adding to this and moving it up the list but I am going to say what I think anyway.
I think it is awesome that he has a very low mile Fiero. If I had one like his I would not be using it every day and running up the miles, it is rare to find one with low miles and getting more rare by the day. The car doesn't have a brain and it sure as hell doesn't care if it gets driven, your cage analogy is ridiculous. 20 years from now that car will be the main attraction at a museum some place. I am surprised he drives it at all, and I hope that I am fortunate enough to see it at a show someday.
Bottom line, his car - his business. Back off. If you care that much about the car's feelings you could buy it from him and set it free.
