Hi Tom, I'll give Keith a ring (just saw him the other day at the West Fest, I should read this board more often :P)
My engine is a 98 Northstar v8, 300hp stock, 350-375 with mild porting and a 5-degree timing advance on the intake cam....
I'm looking for a few good clutches :)
I've driven several mult-disc setups (including an older actual Indy-500 racer, uhm, WOW by the way :) and I like them.
You say you have 8k on her so far, not bad. Feeling any degredation of grab or performance? My one concern about the multidisc clutches is longevity in a street application.
I don't know if you're familiar with the "Corvette Indy" concept car, but it was essentially a mid-engined vette, you probally have one of the closest road-going executions of that idea, very very cool :)

Again, thanks to all for your comments, they're appreciated.
Response to "ARTHERD", The clutch disc's are holding up fine with 8,000 very hard street miles. What I have noticed over the last couple of months, is that the engagement of the clutch in getting nearer the top of the pedal, but after you warm the clutch by driving a little while the pedal engagement position moves closer to floor. Still no indication that there is slipage either cold or hot under full power. It looks like I'll make the 10,000 mark, which was my goal. One situation that I would highly discourage is getting caught in is excessive "creep & stop" traffic, like the Woodward Cruise" here in Detroit where it might take 2 hours to got 2-3 miles. This setup doesn't like excessive heat, floater plate will heat distort resulting in clutch not wanting to disengage. If you contact QuarterMaster, as for Dan (the one who knows about Fiero's).
If you talk to Keith, tell him "his baby" is doing just fine, let him know about this post as he hasn't seen the car in a long time, probably thinks it's still Black. Keith and John took 3 months to do this professional conversion back in '93 at the original owners request (Charlie Williams), who raced for Porsche in the late 60's early 70's (with standing "Records" for races). Charlie is the one who choose the engine combination and suspension modifications. Charlie is a great guy, very smart in performance, when I asked him how good the car does on the street he commented "It's really setup for roadcoarse racing, but it will beat any production car under 6 figures!!)
Don't think the picture below is the same Concept Vette you're referring to, but I'm pretty sure it's the same setup. Another good idea GM failed to follow through on !!
Wishing you the best of luck on your project!!! Tom

My car is going to be a bit of a "weekend car" as well, though that might extend to a blast during low-traffic times every day :)
I can't stand stop-n-lurch-n-go-n-stop driving, makes me insane. I'll pull off the road and hit a book or record store or get some food or something :)
