Some of you guys have some nice homes. What I would like to see is were your Fiero live?? Pics of your garage/shop some of your equipment. I have seen some in pics of the cars parked in them. It seems that most of the members here work on their own cars so I would just like to see where you do it.

THANKS

DXR DAD: Funny you should ask, I took these pics two weeks ago (when it wasn't snowing). I'm trying to make a "virtual tour" of Fiero Warehouse on my website.

Pic #1 You've just opened the 15' tall garage door, and walked past the '99 Suburban sitting on the ramp that extends from the parking lot onto the 2nd floor of my garage. You're standing at the top of the ramp and directly in front of you is my current project for the florida show in March: I'm installing the already painted pearl white body on the 86 GT with a camaro 3.4 and T-tops. Directlty behind the GT is Pace car #2. Its sitting out of the way on the flatbed trailer. You'll notice all the windows are covered in the background. A good idea for any garage. The sun is very damaging to your paint. Especially if it shines on the same spot day after day.

Pic#2 Is the left side of the garage. There's my very first indy, and besdie her is Indy #5. Next is the blue 86 GT that just visited the fiero factory for her 4:10 tranny. Beside her is my very first fiero, an 86 GT. And last is my 88 GT with lumbar seat. This 88 has a twin lurking somewhere else in the garage.

Pic#3 is the right side of the garage. There's my lowered 86 SE looking cool. Next three cars belong to my dad. There's his baby, a 55 Ford Crown Victoria. He bought this ford right after it had a frame off restoration. Next is his '78 Olds Cutlas Supreme Brougham with only 17K. And last is his first "show car" purchase....a 76 Buick Skylark with 1,911 miles. Thats correct, not even 2k miles and he's the 3rd owner. Yes, its a "trailer queen". It goes to shows on the trailer.

Pic #4 You're now standing in the far left corner. Directly behind you is a room with my other 88 GT twin. This room used to be the new car showroom. It has a checkered floor, and a huge showroom window that faces the street. This room also houses the majority of the Fiero Warehouse's inventory.

And that concludes your virtual tour of my garage. If weather permits, i'll snap some pics of outside building.

Thanx, Doug

No doubt, Uaana! Doug's garage looks like a Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory for car guys. All he needs is some Oompa Loompa's walking around polishing and waxing his cars.

I will think enviously of Doug as I'm scraping the ice and snow off my 88 Coupe's windows tomorrow morning.

Well heres my garage... Its big enough to keep my fiero inside during winter. The lesser sports car gets to stay in also :P. I also have access to enough tools to do most things on the car myself.

Doug, I'm not a super big Ford fan, but looks like you have a nice classic! Is that a 55-56 Crown Vic?

Boohoo, my Batmobile is covered with snow right now. I have the more expensive cars in my stable under cover. The Batmobile is low budget and needs repainted anyway.

007 Doug- You can adopt me, I'm only 18! AND I'd only have 2 Fieros to add to the garage
Right now mine are homeless. They both sit in the snow The coupe used to have a home when I lived at home in Kent- and this upcoming summer when the GT is painted it'll be garaged at the apartment complex (ouch! at $150/month for a garage)

My Fiero doesn't have a home. It just sits in its parking space and wishes it could be inside the little building where my 1974 Honda CB 750 motorcycle and my riding lawn mower live. OK, its not heated but it is dry, too bad its not big enough even for a little Fiero.

so where do you do it??
David I guess you would move the Honda?
Lisa, I've seen you web page so I know you work on yours?? I was also wondering what type equipment you may have in you shop, shed, garage or working spot???

I'm thinking of what I should get next for my
shop? Someone posted somthing about a Powder Coating System, can't remember who it was?? but that sounds like it would be nice to have.

Dad,

I recently moved to an apartment. I finally have a garage. In fact, I have a 1.5 bays of a 4 car garage. My 86 is currently in there and will be through the spring. Up until that point I have done all of my work in the driveway if I am lucky or on the street most of the time (It really is a B!tc# chasing sockets down the hill where I used to live).

Sadly much of my work is still done outside as I have 3 Fiero's (until this weekend), 1 Mustang (wife's) and a '56 Fairlane Club Sedan. As you can imagine I spend as much time outside as I do inside. I would show you a pic of the garage... but with the car all torn up and parts everywhere it really isn't a pretty picture.

Here is my garage that 4WHEEL built this summer for both of our cars. No other car is allowed in.....Will post pics next spring.Don't want them to get cold if I open the door. The garage is heated of course. Wouldn't want them to get cold.

4-WHEEL does all the mechanical stuff. I mostly do the cleaning.

DXR-DAD -

Those some polished "hi-tech" rims I see there on your black one? They look sweet, I was planning on doing the same thing this winter while my Fiero is in pieces; most everything is getting fixed/repainted/added to/modified in some way. Everybody can be sure that they'll see the results of my restoration in about June (once the weather here in MI warms up enough for me to do the big jobs)

Dont have any good garage pics right now, too cold to go out and take them!

My garage was built in 1920, probably for a model T or horse buggy. I can get the Fiero in and just barely get the door open and squeeze out of the garage. It has a dirt floor but I'm gonna pour concrete when it warms up. At least it's out of the rain/sun/birds.

When I moved in my place looked kinda empty. Yes, those are "test" burnout marks.

Now typically it looks like this (or worse).

I moved into this building 2 years ago. I know it will be empty again someday, I just hope that by the time I move again I have enough $$$ to make someone else do the move.

BTW, the first pic. wasn't B&W it was a pic captured from video tape.

I shoveled the whole driveway just several hours before taking that picture. It's been so windy, it blew across the drive. We get enough snow and cold weather to make me miserable 5-6 months out of the year. I like 80F and humid. Hot, sunny, and sticky, I love it like that!!! I just think of the snow as the white sand down on the Gulf. Walking to the Fiero from work one afternoon last week, I was in the mind state where I was down on the gulf with the sand, and the sun, and was planning take out the sunroof for the drive home. When I got to the car I snapped out of it, and realized it was 5F and the wind chill was -30F. I was bummed big time .
