Hi 007, Sure could use any info on that T-Top install that is in your future.Planning on doing the same. Any problems,or snags you ran into. Short-cuts, and what not to do. Are you going to enforce the frame?

You mean like open up the Garage-door, in -10 temps?? Poor fiero would get a cold. Honestly the garage is such a mess right now, I'be embarrassed if my neighbors saw it.

I've been trying to convince 87ECO5 to move down here. Don't know if you caught my story on some other post, but I was there by you for 14 years: Wilmington, Middletown, and Waynesville. I like the cold & snow so I didn't complain, but there was one perfect day in the spring and one in the fall. But I have really gotten spoiled in the year and a half I've been here. Lots of great weather, if you can just survive the hottest part of the summer. Kinda sounds like you already know all about it though. Sorry to rub it in. Just trying to get more Fiero neighbors, can't blame me for that.

The t-top install & 3.4 swap were done a year and a half ago by The Fiero Factory in AL. I just need the time to install the body.
Here's a REALLY general picture series of the T-top install: http://www.geocities.com/fierowarehouse/ttopinstall.html I took them a horribly rusted 84 coupe w/T-tops. They removed the T-tops, and installed them in a perfect 86 GT frame.
My suggestion: Pay FF to install. They have all the proper tools and most importantly......the expierence!! I know there's a few forum mebers installing t-tops themselves right now. They know where i'm coming from.

Do they make housecalls? AL is rather far away from MN,especially when you gotta bring two cars up there (Donor and recipient) Just out of curiosity, and perhaps future reference. How much did that set you back? $wise RE body flex= I guess you learn something everyday
Whoa! It's 46 degrees with rain today! Think I need to go farther SOUTH! Anyone know of any job openings in Cuba? Are there Fiero's there? Is cigar smoking mandatory? Is there life north of the Mason/Dixon Line between December and April? Can you tell I'm on Vacation? Sorry! Think I'll go fix the back-up lights on the car! Peace! Mike

WHO SAID WE Don't Take Care Of Our Cars?? WHO SAID They Don't know any shops that work on Fieros?? Nice looking shop Tina, the kinda place I wouldn't mind taking the Black Toy. Very clean!!!!!
My garage is a little more "cozy" than some of the rest of you folks. I guess that's the end result of managing to nestle 5 dirtbikes, a freezer, a refrigerator, multiple storage shelves, and a Fiero into a modest 2 car garage.
Here's a shot showing a little more of my home. As you can see, I'm "working" on one of my Fieros right now. If only I had more tools like this!
A better shot of the work in progress...

Other than the rear being quite flat now, I'm not exactly sure what kind of tires they are, maybe some sort of Generals. Here's another pic. Perhaps you can tell a little better....

And not to worry, people. This is the car that I spun out and slammed rearend first into a concret barrier at 60mph, virtually destroying the entire rearend. Nothing salvagable was ruined during this little stunt (I purposely avoided driving up on the front end so as not to damage or destroy any of those parts). As I have already removed the parts I need from it to use on my 85 GT, I am giving the car to another local Fiero enthusiast who has the room to store it until he can remove all of the remaining usuable front end and interior parts. And believe it or not, the engine still runs (well, that is if you replaced the fuel lines I swiped off of it ) and the automatic transmission appears to have survived the crash as well.
