Having a bit of trouble just finding 3rd gear. Is there a way to adjust the shifting mechinisms anywhere to make it find the "slot" easier? No other ones are difficult to find.

Which 5 spd do you have? I have the getrag/muncie and 3rd is pretty easy to get into, have you disassembled the console, It might be possible that something fell into the mechanism and is jamming it up? If the other gears all work fine then it probably isnt a hydraulic issue, I've heard of people having trouble with the cables, maybe your 3rd gear cable is loose or damaged?

Blooz in his infinite wisdom did a nice little quick write-up on how to adjust the Getrag shift & select cables.

It appears however the photos are gone (at least they don't show up for me), but by what he says you can get an idea of how to do it. Also you would want to make sure your cables are actually in good condition. Remember due to age they can bind internally and change shape slightly.

Good points. I'll take a look at general condition and see which 5 Speed Whodeanie installed. It is just a bit nigly when trying to go into third gear. Have to search a little in teh left to right realm to find where third is.
