Just my two cents - got thermoquiets for my Ford Explorer and they have been the loudest pad I've ever used. TONS of squealing when cold, no idea why, I even used the disc brake quiet when installing. They have OK stopping power but I would never buy them again.

Interesting. Most people love the Thermos. But two do not. May be a few years ago you could get EBC and other High Performance pads. I have been searching on the internet and cant find any for 87-84 fronts.

I had the Wagner TQs installed on my 86 GT about 2 months ago. I followed the break in / seating directions, and the car brakes better than in all the 15 years I've had it. These will be the only brand of brake pads I will buy in the future.

Interestingly, ThermoQuiets come in Semi-Metallic and Ceramic. Some cars have only one available, some both. It's important note which you're talking about when discuss experiences with ThermoQuiet pads.
