SUCSESS FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! I Put in a shift kit also while I had it out. Tall firm gears, feels strong, Still have to adjust shift points, It goes into red line when floored. Or is that normal?

The hype of how hard it was before i started was actually worse than the project itself.
The tranny mounts were easy, the hardest part was finding 4t60 brakets for the front and rear. West Coast poly mounts are sweet. I used my old kick down cable with no problems. Some custom brackets that The LasVegas Fiero Club let me fab onsite. Other wise It was an enjoyable project. P.S. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD TRANNY TO START WITH. Third time was a charm for me.

I bought a 1998 Pontiac GTP. This set up is for sale as of 01/08/10. Super Charge it.

Edit: I'm keeping the formula the way it is. I bought an 86 GT and i'm putting the 3800 in it.

88 Dorman P/N D352047 whole kit, hard to find. caliper piston bore is 1 57/64" Front and Rear. -
88 Dorman P/N D352046 piston seals only. Front and Rear.
84-87 Dorman P/N D351576 whole kit. caliper piston bore is 1 56/64" or 1 7/8" Rear.
84-87 Dorman P/N D351076 piston seals only. caliper piston bore is 1 15/16 Front.
Discard the piston seals from the D351576 kit and you have an 88 caliper rebuild kit for all 4 calipers.

Cheapest route to go is (4) D352046 piston seals only, and (4) P/N D351576 whole kit. Total about 36.00 plus shipping about 9.00.
Rock auto prices, I found this discount after i bought the parts, https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/084008.html

Its been around 3 and a half months of daily driving and the brakes are better than ever! The brakes were a little soft after I was done. But then I discovered that if you reset the parking brakes it will adjust the brake calipers so the piston doesn't have so far to travel when initiated.

The one under the Motor is stock and the forward one is positioned in its stock location and the rear one was just match drilled for the mounting holes (1/2") to the passenger side with a little clearance grinding too. Nothing major.

I know how you feel, I'm actually going through withdrawals right now from the car.
Congratulations I hope is in order. We're allowed 4 cars here in Rockford.
