I would like to enlarge the turn/park light area of a 1988 non-aero bumper and add larger lights including fog lamps. Has anyone tried this? In addition, if anyone has done this what light sockets did you use? The idea is to move the new lights closer to the front of the bumper. Thank you for you help.

I did it to a Aero bumper, pretty much the same thing. I cut out the original light holes, filled the holes with scrap from an old cover & 3M flexible parts repair, the found the lights I wanted in the bone yard, cut them out of the bumper cover with a knife, cut in the holes to match the new lights ( there was about 1" of urathane bumper left around the new lights, then adheared & filled them with 3M flexible bumper repair. went from the small rectangular lights to Larger Round lights that "flare out" some.

This was an '88 local to me with an Ecotec. It had the headlight doors filled in and the lights in the bumper where the driving lights. I don't know it's current whearabouts nor do I know how to contact the owner.

Reminds me of a Geo Storm front end.

I'd love to do this too, but in VA the saftey police will not allow this modification to the driving lightgs. But is looks soooooo good.
