1. buy 3800sc w/auto
2. remove old fiero drivetrain
3. buy mounts made by forum members or one of the fiero sites (if you like to wait months and months)
4. buy a ready made harness from one of the members
5. install
6. drive
7. get speeding tickets

all the little things that need to be done in between the steps are taken care of the installer.

read through other peoples 3800 swap threads for detail. otherwise, the detail doesnt exist.

Oh, trust me, I have been reading for over a week now on this forum. That is why I ask, because I have yet to find a thread that says, "next, install the canuter valve to ..." you get my point. I have read most of the above threads, but will go through them again once I start pulling the motor. I'm sure I will get more out of the threads once I start seeing the process from all angles. Thanks again guys.

ps- Called Chris at WCF and he was very helpful. Made it sound very easy. I am sure it will be a BIG project for a novice like myself though.

OK...First do not order from WCF unless you have to as there are much better venders for parts...To give you a good idea of what needs to be done you need to tell more about what the swap will be...Then most posting can give you any details needed...

Here are the basics of what i am doing:
-3800sc/4t65 from 02GTP
-Want to keep AC
-Want to use stock exh manis for now
- Want to fab as much as I can. Have tools and enough knowledge to get me in trouble
-Daily driver, doesn't have to be a rocket.

What other info do you need?

If you can fab then you can make up your own mounts..Several have done it and used differant ways. If you wanna buy mounts then go with FieroX or Whodennie on here. Whodennie can also supply you will almost all your other swap parts also..Intake will need to be 3.5-4.0 inches and the exhaust will need to be 3 inch mandrel. Harness can be done by your self or Phonedawz on here can make you one up. Fuel pump is always a debate but the 381 seems to be what most are using for stock to mild swaps...

Mustang,
Thanks. Those type of posts are very helpful. Keep pointing me in the right directions. Finding the most affordable options is the best.
