After going thru all of that have you looked in replacing the throttle position sensor. My sons car was an 87 GT and had high idle after reaching operating temp so I tried several of the things you did, but then I was told by a friend to check the throttle position sensor so I replaced it and now it idles at about 800 RPM problem solved!
