It doesn't matter what caused the failure, a lower output motor would most likely not have failed. I'm not sure what your definition of being streetable is, but blowing apart intake piping and destroying itself, all the while having to be fed race gas is not my definition of streetable, and that's exactly my point. Just because it can be driven on the street doesn't mean it's in any way practical or even possible to be regularly driven on the street.
