Is the 4.3 L v6 out of a 95 Astro van a decent swap?....also does it bolt to my trans and motor mounts? Also iull say the motor is free...so no agruments on what motor is best....im poor. free is good.

It won't bolt up. It requires the same adapter plate that is used for a V8 Chevy swap. www.v8archie.com
There are several people on this forum who have done it, though.

my friend has a 4.3 bored .060 over and has a 12:1 comp ratio. If i didnt have an auto in my 88 i might of thought about swaping it into mine. He has the carb/intake style setup on it, with forged pistons, too bad he put the intake gasket on upside down and melted that side of the motor, I think we are going to take it to a machine shop to get it checked out and see if it can be saved. Any one have a 4/5 speed body for sale less than 200 bucks? If it is an 88 I dont need the cradle.
