i was wondering if its possible to put the fastback tail lights onto a notchback, or would it be easier to find and put a fastback on at the same time? i have found and could easily get some fastback tail lights but the actual fastback clip is a lot harder to find i was just wondering if i could install the lights and wait till i find/get the fastback clip to install the clip

The fastback lights are considerably larger and you will need to do a fair bit of body work to fit them in.

They do sell for a pretty penny though.

Purple Pavement Eater was a fastback, but had the clip shaped like a notchback.
