LordBoOsT where are you? Did you get sucked into a blackhole like Leadfoot did. LOL
LOL...the only thing that got sucked into a black hole was my wallet! Getting dirt poor now, not for the turbo kit but for other reasons. So unfortunatly I will have to hold off on the ignition and fuel management upgrades for a while. So with that in mind here's what I decided to do. I decided to complete the install to make the car drivable without boost. Rigged the waste gate arm to hold the wastegate open. Wonder though if I will still get boost and if so, how much?
If you don't wish to run boost and keep the waste gate open like that; DON'T run a line to the waste gate actuator. Even with the waste gate wide open you will see a small amount of boost probably 1 or 2 psi. This amount of boost shouldn't cause any large problems without engine management but use premium gas and don't use a heavy foot until you can get a properly programmed turbo chip installed and/or a new ECM.
Sounds like you are set to go. One last item that you may be aware of but I'll mention it anyway is;don't install the 2 BAR MAP sensor until you have a special chip in the ECM that has the main timing tables etc. scaled to work with it. Other than that, slap yourself on the back for buying a nice turbo kit and DIY and a prediction-once you drive a turbo Fiero, you'll never go back to N/A.
Gotta little side tracked. My cruise control canister was in the way so I had to do some surgery to the air intake tube. Also, I had to relocate my alarm's siren to a new location because it was just under the canister and there's not room there for a siren and the air filter. Found a good spot to put the siren though...hehehe.

Okay, here's the update. After I finished installing the kit I drove it home and parked it ever since. I dont have a garage of my own so I borrowed my buddies for a while to complete the first stage of the install. My mission was to install the kit, bring it home and worry about fuel and spark management at my own leisure. Car started fine, had no leaks. Sounds different, quieter but I guess thats because I dont have leaky manifolds anymore. I am going to continue on a new thread for building/creating a management system.
