RFT is nothing but a pathetic waste of space.
Most of the members that actually contribute real information over there are people who have not been banned from here and they supply the same information on PFF.
The original "banned" people who started RFT did it for only ONE reason. That was to ridicule PFF. It was originally the PSF.
Yes when others joined PSF they helped steer it to some more productive area's like Tech and such and help change it to RFT. But no matter how much they try to make it look like a useful forum, the pathetic postings of people like Shaun will ruin it. They have even turned on some of their own members as well.
As for the "Tech" section, They have people posting wrong info over there as well. Even Shaun has posted inaccurate tech information.
The only good things about RFT is they do have some humorous threads. Especially when Shaun and Aaron make pathetic fools of themselves. (Which is getting to be more often lately.) If you happen to visit over there, Don't take anything you see over there seriously. If you are looking for "Real Fiero Technical" Information, You are better off contacting the knowledgable folks thru here (since they have not been banned from here) or thru the RFT PM's.

I like RFT, I feel like I can say anything over there and I don't have to worry about raings (which IS just a huge popularity contest)
I think its the ratings system that made me surf RFT mainly and stop posting over here. For as much good info I have posted over here, my bar does not reflect it. Instead I have quite a few negatives for the sole fact that I am associated with RFT.
People like Fiero Bear, Tinton and the others that call RFT a septic tank only say that because they could not fit in with the croud over there. If you actually post over there you will see that the guys are all regular people. Fiero Trevor came into RFT with a sole mission to argue everything in RFT vs The World and now he is an accepted member over there. Heck, he is even in the privelidged users section. Avengador is also there and gets along just fine even though he was the biggest greenie over here at one point.
There wil always be those people who act holier than thou and will never accept RFT, but its a good forum and its going strong.
PS. Howard started the forum because he was wrongly banned from here. Some of you noobs should do a search and see why he was banned. He basically got into an argument with a "well respected" member over here and got banned.

Nothing against Howard, but I seriously doubt he was in a good position with respect to ratings prior to starting that thread. It just pushed him over the limit.

Actually that is incorrect. Howie started PSF/RFT first and once it was found out he was the person who started it, then he was banned by Cliff not by ratings.
Originally it was thought that Shaun and Jon started the forum because the "Punisher" screen name was banned shortly before the PSF became public on here.
To prove it, The link you posted was from 2002, Howie was still posting in November of 2004.

His last post in the thread was 11/12/2004, He started PSF in Aug of 2004 and on the 11/16/04 is when PSF became known on here.
Cliff found out Howie started the PSF forum on 11/18/2004 and that is when Cliff banned him.

If Howie is telling you he was banned and then he started PSF, He's lying to you.

But what about Shaun and Howie acting "holier than thou" as well? They have banned people and have edited/deleted other peoples posts to suit their opinions.
I have a hard time respecting RFT especially when I have no respect for the person who started and runs it.
I see it is going strong, It just gained about 150 SPAM members in the last 60 days. I guess Aaron's posts in the newsgroups is working well.

Its all a series of events that led to the same end. Howard has not told me anything, I saw the whole thing unfold. Its a bad situation, I'm not going to add to this thread any more.
