But, by your bold typing, nothing that you just said can be inferred (guessed) by your challenge put forth. You should have been more distinct (clear) on your challenge. If you truly meant money up to the value of your car you should have stated that. If Archie or any other V8 owner did the same thing you would be riding all over their a$$ for backing out on a wager and a race. You my friend are a hypocrit.

I've read your posts hear and on RFT and here you help someone or say something that can be construed as somewhat intelligent (I'm reaching here) and yet you turn around and post on RFT and rip into the same person you just complimented or helped. Maybe you just like to stir up $hit and get a rise from others reactions. Who knows and who cares?

It's been said before in other posts, and I'm paraphrasing, if you weren't such an egotist (full of himself) with a better-than-thou attitude maybe, just maybe people would accept some of your advice. I've read some of your stuff and you do your best to help but it's with too much attitude.

And before you claim I'm a bandwagoner in the V8 club think again. I too have a 3.8SC. Only difference is, I enjoy my car for what is or is not and accept everyone else's choice in engine mod. There's a lot of cool Fieros out there, and yes, some have V8's but if you only look with closed eyes and a narrow mind then you will miss out on a lot.

just noticed. what kind of car is it that's not street legal? i would like to keep it a basic fiero setup. you know motor int he back :P but i'm game for anything. i really don't mind losing. what i want is to get out there and have a good time. compare what i think works with my car and if i get beat that means someone did something better then me and i get to pick their brain over it.

if i wanted to do the v8 troll thing i would have been called out cali kid and archie and offered a bet where i'd race them out front. i knew that wasn't going to happen so i figured i'd reach out to every forum member. i know there's people on here with fast cars that don't post about them. the only reason i post about mine is because a v8 swap guy talked trash to me. then the quest came for that number one spot on the 1/4 mile list. 3 weeks later i got it.

ambfiero - if you noticed i didn't talk trash to anyone. this thread was about me racing people that want to see how they stand. i chose the 3800sc because the hp vs dollar. a head and cam ls7 will make about 600 to the tires through a manual in a vette. with a turbo and my 400 dollar long block im only going to be about 50hp away. now i hope you post wasn't directed towards me. there's only a few pictures of my car on the boards and i know for a fact there's never been an engine bay one. because i've never taken one! my interior has the normal cracks on the driver side corner. the seats are suede leather that i made. my car had a perfect exterior until recently when it was drove into at the track and my decklid painted cracked up. quality paint job ended up not being so quality. so do you have a v8? if so, want me to beat it with my super great neatest coolest fantabulousiesous v6?

Some build for show. Some build for go. But it's extremely hard to do both.

Some guys dont have the time to spend weeks with a toothbrush on an engine, or the fabrication skills to make an engine bay clean.

I’m not one of his Nazis, I am not running anything, and if I was I wouldn’t post it here with all the ego's. I think Calis car is a good example of SHOW AND GO yet a lot of you guys like busting up on him. I stuck up for you purple when people were busting up on you saying you were acting like a big baby at the 20th when your engine failed. I felt they should have let you push it through due to your circumstances; does that make me one of your Nazi’s? I felt you were getting a bad deal and I voiced it, no different with Cali.

Sad thing is you guys have a ton of knowledge, I wish I had half of it, yet so much energy gets wasted here with the bashing and bickering. No offense to you guys, I have a lot of respect for you, If I didn’t I wouldn’t be posting this. It just seems like you guys wait for threads like this to.... well act like little teenagers. Your adults and grown men, whom have great talent, it’s like a local AEP commercial we have here in Ohio, what do you want to be remembered by? If something were to happen to you guys do you want someone saying yeah sad to see him go but at least the jerk won’t post any more flames or man that guy was a great help and a stand up guy.

I plan on doing a swap, in fact I just dropped my motor and TODDS write up helped a lot. However I have some questions about what kind of swap I want to do but I won’t post them due to all the crap that goes on here. I will send PM's to folks I feel are top notch or stand up guys that will help me, not bash me because I didn’t go with the in crowd. Sad thing is I might even miss out on something because I didn’t post it publicly but I will take that chance and miss all the ridicule.

EDIT: I noticed my bar moved into the red some more. Dont Neg me as I am not beating up on any of you, just questioning why you feel the need to jump in and beat up on others.

Yeah. I'd agree to the wasted energy here.

I think someone was just calling out Cali due to the claims being made with no proof of anything, not even a timeslip or dynorun.

I am sure you have proof of this statement... I dont know why you would automatically assume that... There is plenty of proof of my mistakes typing posts out there, yet no proof that I would harass others for their miss-posting. My intentions of my original post stand, and are clear in my mind, while others it may not be able to see it the way I do, does that make me a hypocrite?

People need to learn to take forum talk with a bit more salt. Trying to convey emotions, intentions, and jest on a forum is difficult, and can get people very worked up... The part that really pisses me off, is the fact that when miscommunication comes up, corrections are never accepted.

I have pretty much maxxed out in the negs department, 90% of pff doesnt rate people, and the usual people that try to play robocop with the red bar are not effective enough to get anyone banned. Off-topic is a different story, but it takes some real stupid stuff to get negged over there.

I can blab on and on about how much v8's suck now and not even see 1 neg from it.

As far as my swap goes, its not junk, it has had 30K put on it over the past 2.5 years(probally 5 times as much as Cali has put on his since he owned the car) and its my DD that runs great. My car is in primer and the interior is stock but paints is in the near future after I finish my LS4 swap. The good thing is I can say that I built the car and made it what it is and not have to tell people I bought it that way.

I have a lot of respect for those who push the performance envelope with the fiero, and I enjoy reading every build thread on the subject. It does seem to me that sometimes the performance enthusiast has a mindset of: "there are two kinds of fiero owners, those that care about performance, and everyone else", and the 'everyone else' doesn't get respect. Although you probably didn't mean it that way, you can read that tone in your post. I like seeing what people come up with in all aspects of fieros, I just wish there was less division going on.
