Very much so NOT directed at you Jonesy. While we are not great friends, I have zero hate towards you. I wish no ill will upon you or yours.

This has nothing to do with snowflakes, and everything to do with the funding of this website. Google has already threatened to "pull the plug" on ad revenue, because of stuff like this. Your refusal to follow the rules is basically a giant middle finger to Cliff Pennock, and the entire website.

I agree that Google's rules about what can and can't be shown on a site displaying their ads are a bit skewed at best. Violence and gore is apparently OK (at least, that's what I think because I have never, ever received an official warning from Google for such content). But show a girl in bikini and they are all over me. I even got a warning because an archived thread that could only be reached through Google contained adult content. And as you might remember, Google did pull the plug once because of content they marked as p-phelia (I can't even spell out the word here because that will immediately raise a flag with Google).

Now as stupid as it may seem, and as much as I hate the fact that Google effectively controls what can and can't be shown here, I am totally depending on ad income for running this site. Sure people donate, but take a quick look at my donation page and you'll see that the donations alone isn't really enough to cover my bills. Also, and I'm not ashamed to admit it, the extra ad income not only cover the bills, it also puts food on the shelf. Not much, but every little bit helps these days. So yes, maybe Google's rules are a bit odd. But without them I wouldn't even be able to give my kids Christmas presents this year.
