That's a bummer on cutting the store hours. I am doing a soft isolation right now to help protect my 90 year old MIL. Aif I was to go to the store it would be in the middle of the night when there would be less people.

OK, that doesn't explain Washington at all. 30+ people died from a virus in a nursing home that has only killed 5,833 people worldwide, and nobody thinks that is a bit odd?
Other parts of the country are just as compact, if not more so. 40 is way out of the "norm" for deaths in the U.S. The next highest is 5. Either something is wrong with the way Washington is reporting, or there is something wrong with the way every other state in the Union is reporting. Perhaps a mixture of both? Washington is also reporting the highest number of infections in the country at 642, but NY is very close behind at 613. NY has 2 deaths.
There are Nursing Homes across the country, and some of them even get visitors.
There are Asian populations elsewhere in the country as well.[This message has been edited by Fats (edited 03-15-2020).]

As of 5pm Central time, CDC reports there is no known, tested, or proven vaccine for Covid-19.

I didn't say or infer you were lying Tony. I was serious. CDC needs to know this. The public needs to know it........ to allay some of this fear and uncertainty. CDC said Friday there was no vaccine and it would be at least months before there was one.
| quote | March 13, 2020From the print edition
In a tall building on the outskirts of downtown Seattle, a group of scientists from the University of Washington’s Institute for Protein Design huddle in front of computers, concentrating on their screens. Using a special program, they’re tinkering with building blocks of proteins, taking the first of many steps to develop a vaccine for the new coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2.
Creating a working vaccine is challenging and will likely take over a year, at best. |

Right on.
I am serious. The CDC does know this. I agree, the public needs to know this.
"...at least a month before there was one." You nailed the time frame that I am hearing. 3 weeks to a month.
I do not know the reasons for any of this. I want all of us to be safe. All of us. Unlike those wishing ill on our President, I want each and every one of us to follow procedures and not worry. But, panic and the fear being portrayed through our "informative" Plastic Media is not making this easy for many.

Well, the Netherlands is in total lockdown.
All schools, restaurants, bars, coffeeshops must close immediately and stay closed until at least april 6th. Private parties are forbidden. People are asked to stay home. When you do go out, keep at least 5 feet distance from other people.
My opinion? The world has gone mad.
