I honestly don't give a dang about Trudeau or how Canada decides to handle the mandates, that's their business. I don't support the mandates but, I do not believe truck drivers are any better than any other citizen. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. If, border crossings require a COVID card for anyone then it's just as applicable to truckers. Other citizens should not have to pay a price for something they have no part of the decision. Remember Occupy Wall Street, The BLM protests, the Pipe Line protests.............. Lots of folks got all upset about that. Protest all ya want but, stay the hell off the roads. I'm not knocking the "Protest" but, they have no right to stop commerce or the rights of others to use that same asphalt. You can bet your bippy that truckers were bitching about those other protests blocking the roads.
But, while not attempting to take sides on this Canadian issue, I'd like to remind those in support that the next time someone has a problem with an issue, the same tactic could occur at your city. So, when some minority decides to block the roads and bridges in your city, enjoy it.

They aren't stopping commerce. You are a free man. Jump in with your truck and get commerce going. Nobody is forcing you to not haul stuff in and out of anywhere.
Vehicles are clearly coming and going, even in Ottawa. They may have to take a longer way, but I've yet to hear about a business in that area having to shut down because of a lack of product... Even the trucks are able to get fuel.
Want to know how I know you aren't paying attention? You keep saying it's "just like BLM protests." Yet there are no fires, no violence, no painting all over building. Nobody is locked in buildings being physically torn down by "peaceful protesters." You keep saying it's the same, it's not. It's a very different thing.
You live in fear, like a sheep. You keep attacking and pretending you are having a conversation, but you have made up your mind on everything and you are on the wrong side of history. There is no sense in even responding to you. Then it's "How dare you attack me, I did nothing (except mock your way of life.) "[This message has been edited by Fats (edited 02-09-2022).]

The pipeline protest had propane bombs, burned equipment and damaged bridges.
Nothing like the Trucker Protest.

Educate yourself, open your eyes, stop being sheep!
This year, I say no to winter tires!

Fine, it's supposed to be a free country. Just don't make everyone else say no to winter tires.

It sure is, Castro, Jr. You've managed to unite the country against you to the point where they're lugging jerry cans full of gas, in defiance of your orders, through the streets, to the truckers in the middle of the Canadian winter.[This message has been edited by MidEngineManiac (edited 02-09-2022).]

IMHO, blocking a road, right of way or bridge is unacceptable and all the other crap is just that, crap. Just the way I view it.
YMMV

Not sure how I mocked your way of life but, I have to assume the statement about truckers were no better than any other citizen hit a nerve. Sorry but, they aren't.
You have no idea who or what I am so, I won't mind if you don't respond. In fact, I'd appreciate it. Thanks Be safe out there.
