If I am right, there will be no law suit.

Apparently, Smollett has forfeited his $10,000 bond. Chicago said,"Go home, keep your mouth shut and we are keeping your money."[This message has been edited by williegoat (edited 03-26-2019).]

At this point, we all just speculating, but a few key words that I heard boiled down to "the prosecutor should not try a case in the public court of opinion". That has $$$$$$$ written all over it. BUT hopefully I am the one who is wrong.

His defense team has said that the money was given to the "State", I interpret this as a "down payment" for a "good guy" public relations stunt. He was built up as an upstanding citizen and helps many people. They can just say that he AGAIN is showing his true nature as a pillar of forgiveness and foot soldier in the trenches to help the masses, giving time and treasure to the community.

State charges dropped, could this be a trap to ensnare the Federal Prosecutor and put Barr into another controversy?
The Democrats would never do that!
