Thanks for allowing me to join!
I have a question about putting a 2.8 MPI from a 88 Celebrity in place of my 2.5. Has anyone done this with the later 2.8L MPI? Also will the transmission bolt up or do i have to swap the whole drivetrain in? Thank you

The Celebrity 2.8L is rated at 125 hp and the Fiero 2.8L is rated at 140 hp
If you are pulling the motor from a junkyard, you might ask around if someone is selling a Fiero 2.8L or even someone pulling out a 3.4L (165 hp)

So you are basically moving the motor from the front of the car straight back into the Fiero engine compartment.
Your intake will be pointed to the left side, but you are going to have to deal with
intake hose
exhaust manifolds to the exhaust since you have a 4cyl
wiring harness
oil fill will be against the firewall
mounts will probably be different
fuel lines probably aren't going to line up
