Air pollution and global warming are caused by environmental activists.

Rather than repeating everything I have already said, I am going to provide a few links to past threads:
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/F.../HTML/125380.html#p3
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/F...HTML/000185.html#p12
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/F...L/124069-5.html#p189

Now for a news story from yesterday:
Wildfire smoke accounted for up to half of air pollution in the West in recent years

In conclusion: Years of misguided, short sighted environmental policy are destroying our planet.
Cut it out, woman.

The article's author makes some assumptions but doesn't support it with research:

"The findings underscore the growing public health threat posed by climate change as it contributes to catastrophic wildfires..."

Here is the study on which the article is based: https://www.pnas.org/content/118/2/e2011048118

quote
Over the past four decades, burned area from wildfires has roughly quadrupled in the United States. This rapid growth has been driven by a number of factors, including the accumulation of fuels due to a legacy of fire suppression over the last century...

My point was that misguided environmental activism caused the increase in wildfires, which in turn caused a dramatic increase in air pollution.

Just another example of ill informed leftists going off half cocked and making things worse.

Ya know something gents.....

I am very-very much getting to the point I dont give a **** anymore.

I'm a product of the 70's and 80's. We rode bikes without helmets, rode in the back of gas-guzzling trucks, kept guns in high-school lockers to go hunting when we skipped class, rode skateboards without knee pads, threw firecrackers and lawn-darts in the air, and shot water guns at passing cars !!! Played smash-up derby with SSP's and settle a fight with fists, not mass shootings.

I dont like what the world has turned into.

If all this crap going on ,and the scam demic virus kills me....I'm finally rid of the worlds bullshit...If it kills the rest and I survive...I'm finally rid of the worlds bullshit

Either way, I dont care and I win.

( Oh, yeah...I'm making a 1973 finger-gun to shoot an elastic. Just what exactly is anybody going to do about it ??? )

Time to tell the world to **** off.

As a forum member with a "green agenda mindset", I am not categorically opposed to fuel management interventions in likely wildfire areas, whether it's clearing away brush or harvesting trees for timber.

If that were increased above what's already being done, it wouldn't obviate the desirability of other global warming mitigation strategies like doing more to curb the amounts of carbon-emitting combustion of coal, petroleum derivatives and natural gas for energy needs.

In many parts of Calif, it's already required for "Private" landowners to keep their property lines clear of brush and other combustibles. I know from discussion on a couple of the ag boards I frequent, that it is enforced pretty strongly with fines and/or the county does it for you and adds the cost to your tax bill. It's the state/fed and business property owners that seemingly aren't being forced to adhere to it. But, that is just areas or zones where 2 or more properties join. X feet from the property line each direction. What a person does in regards to fire hazard on the rest of his property isn't controlled by any law that I've heard about.

First thing I did upon moving into the "Pine Belt" was address the fire hazards on my property, then I introduced myself to the two neighbors that could most effect my own property.
One was very agreeable and allowed me to clean up most of his acreage. The other (a tree hugger) wasn't nearly as "neighborly" but, I eventually got what I wanted accomplished.

That's not to suggest the west coast is nearly as easily addressed. Wild fires in wilderness areas are difficult and dangerous to control but, anyone that decides to build in a wilderness area is IMO, just daring Mother Nature to take it back.

Are my old bleached cow skulls now worth more or less?
What if they are polled?

Does this mean that mullets will be making a comeback?
(not that they ever really left some parts of the deep South)

Guy who looked a lot like me was approached once from someone from the UN, basically wanted to make that guy's son a Posterboy for *someting*. Got ready to toss a bunch of cash to seal the deal... That guy didn't follow through with it. I'm glad he didn't.

This stuff is disgusting.
