Sorry.. i haven't worked on my Fiero for a bit because I have been working on my blue 87.... sorry. I put this Fiero in my carport because I was waiting for a good 3800SC, but nothing so far.... might have to put the 2.8 back in but thanks for the continued interest!!

fierolover87: thanks for the kind words.. that knuckle is no longer rusty.. it look brand new now!

Put in a straight 3800 then it'll bee ready when you do find an L67. Ask phonedawgz but i'm pretty sure they're close to the same install wise. Just make accommodations for the L67 when you do finally put it in.

thanks for the heads up... its been hard to find a deceent 3800sc here in Maine at a decent price. I will look into getting a straight 3800... Im assuming all mechanical would be the same... Ill read your thread. a plus for you!

L67 use a 4t65eHD. A 3800 uses a 4t65e trans ( non HD) My buddy who builds them for a living says what makes it an HD is only the differential inside the trans. So externally it would be the same. I'm not sure about the wiring. So motor mounts and axles would be the same as far as I know. I know the wiring is a little different like the boost bypass valve and a few other things. You will have to ask around to the experts.

thanks for the heads up... sounds like a better plan to just install the base one and upgrade later on. I hated doing all this work and then putting it aside to sit!
