Picture taken Sunday at a car show:

I changed the fuel filter today and cleaned the idle valve. Amazing how dirty the fuel filter was.

Thinking of getting a water/methanol injection kit from snow performance. Maybe I could run a bit more boost.

Driving it to work tomorrow. Sunday I'm going to pick up some new seats for it and redo the headliner. I have a carbon fiber look headliner kit from Fiero Thomas.

Been driving the car a lot lately. Mostly city driving, not light driving either, and averaged 22mpg on the last tank. It's been running awesome.

Great to hear. Of the 4cyls I've seen, other than the SD4 I think that one looks the best in the engine bay. How's under-hood temps? Any issues with cooling or oiling for the turbo? Did you end up getting some water/methanol injection?

Engine compartment temps are ok. I heat wraped a bunch of the exhaust. Oil and coolant get to and from the turbo good. I still want to get meth injection for it but haven't yet. Maybe after I sell my old seats I will get it. Filled up with premium today. Got 23.2mpg on the last tank all city driving with some hard acceleration.

Pulled it outside to clean it's parking spot(garage). Took a picture since I detailed it a couple days ago. I've put almost 1000 miles on it this summer. That's probably more than the last 4 years combined.

This has become more of a general update on the car instead of just engine related. Recovered my speaker covers. The red had faded badly over the last 6 or 7 years.

Still planning on adding meth/water injection. Going to get a resivoirs for the water side of my W2A intercooler also. Just waiting on funds. Other plans are to go back to stock tail lights with embrace racing led kit and get a new hood painted to match with no hole.

Meth/water injection is 99% installed. Just need to wire the led that comes on when it's active.

Finished up the water/meth install and got everything dialed in. Nailed a pothole on my test drive and knocked my alignment out again. I think it's time to upgrade to poly bushings before I align it again.

I love your old wheels. What size are they? Say on the new wheels, they look good. Be careful with wheel & tire size. The wheels on my car are 17x 8 front and 18 x 9 rear that is according to PO. I went to Dearborn last Friday for Son's rehearsal dinner. On 96 there were a few dips and at speed my rear tires hit. PO put to much tire size on the car. 225/45R17 front & 255/45R18 rear. Fronts rub when executing a real tight turn, like parking.

The old wheels were 18x7, all 4. New wheels are 17x7 front and 18x8 rear. Front are 225/45/17 and rear are 245/40/18. Drove it tonight and had no rub.

I think those wheels look fantastic!
I think we have similar likes when it comes to wheel choices.

I hope to mount mine this weekend.

I liked what Steve Snyder did with his tire/wheel set up.
Same offsets but different tires. Continental Extreme Contact 215/45/17 front, 275/35/18 rear.
The rears will stick out the fender a bit, I'm still fussing with the rough alignment, so I don't have pictures of them on yet.

My fronts are 40mm offset because 48 was on backorder. Rears are 45mm. I'm interested to see if there is a big difference between your car and my car.
