This trans comes with an Engineered Performance LSD http://www.engineered.net/, and the Heavy Duty 92-94 spider ring gear/differential with 3.94 final.
Also included in this sale: Rodney Dickman FWD brackets, $165 Two new Timken axle seals $ 50 Hydraulic Throw-out Bearing $108 VSS and VSS pigtail - $75
New seals were purchased to fix a small leak on passenger side axle, I have not installed them. Trans is painted flat black. I have several Emails from Jeff at EP about the trans. Total for all the work done, with shipping to and from EP is approx $1500. Get this trans for half price.
History: This trans was installed behind my LS3 for just under 3000 miles, three years ago. My intention was to always install the F40 but until recently, I could not afford it. After install, the trans leaked fluid around the passenger side “external bearing seal”. The bearing/seal was replaced and the leak stopped. Approx 300 miles later the leak returned. The rubber seal was replaced and after about 200 miles the leak returned. After trans was removed, I was able to determine that the rubber seal was not the problem. The outer portion of the external aluminum bearing was the issue. The weep was coming from the area where the seal met the bearing. (The leak left a "quarter size" spot on the garage floor after a long drive.) Had I known the external bearing was the issue, I would not have pulled and replaced the trans with the F40. After speaking with Jeff at EP I am very confident that the trans will not leak in a normal “Fiero” application. In other words, if using a stock Fiero tripot with long Fiero passenger axle and the new Timken seal, this trans should not leak.
BOTTOM LINE: I’d like to get $700 for it. Shipping will have to be discussed, you all know the deal with shipping a 95 pound trans. I’d prefer local pickup, but I can drive within 100 miles for $40 extra.
Forgot to add to the add above, i'll be on vacation until Monday, Aug 4, so if I don't get back to you, its only because I may not get online until monday.
I'll jump in and add that I have this same tranny (with 3.61 gearing) in my 4.9 car, including the EP LSD. I have abused it for almost two years and have yet to break anything.
The hydraulic release bearing is a freaking dream compared to the usual Fiero slave and release mechanism.

Could the seal problem be due to differential bearings getting sloppy?
could be but when i tested it, the driver side was solid, and i was told that if one side was bad, the other would still wiggle. Jeff, who rebuilt it, said that the bearings were/are fine. He thinks is was the tripot or the F40 seal that was installed that was the problem. I also think it was, but I have no way of proving it. I am only selling it for $700 because I am not 100% sure. The parts alone are worth the $700, the trans is free.

yes. only diff is that you may have to mess with the speedo wiring (not sure, I had to because I was hooking up to an LS motor) and you need to cut off the end of your stock hard line and put a new fitting on the end/ re-flare the end, becuse this trans does not use a external slave. it has an internal TO bearing. (See first pic) If you have a race car then you have the skills to make this work.
