A couple of months ago, I made an offer to help someone. I tend to have a soft spot for kids and young adults with special needs, and this family has a daughter, a young adult with developmental disabilities. Apparently she has some level of communication issues, although I have no real idea of what that level of ability is. I sent this family a series of private messages offering the advice and assistance of my wife, a highly skilled and experienced professional in the field of speech and language development. I offered my phone number to this family, never receiving a reply. Only when I sent a PM asking if this young ladies abilities would include handling a touch screen device like an iPad, among other skills, did I get a reply, and apparently I had offered to send them a $400 device loaded with appropriate software. Last night I got a rather pissy PM about how I had ruined their daughters Christmas, which by my calendar is still 9 days away. Apparently the fact that their daughter likes Disney princesses is enough information to work up a communication device from scratch for a person that you have never spoken with, as apparently they have better things to do with their time besides picking up a phone. I am so sick of some people's Holy Entitlement, and this has soured my Christmas spirit worse then a glass of month old eggnog.
Lame excuses from a cretin...as usual. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TRADE ON YOUR WIFE'S WORK; LET ALONE UNDERTAKE 'CONSULTING' PM's . ISn't it enough that you live off your wife's work, let alone try to embellish your pathetic ego? You are a vile piece of work, and how you were allowed back, I will never know. This is why I love you so much. How did I "trade" on my wife's work? I never asked for a thin dime from anyone. I never made a post about doing anything for anybody, how is my ego embellished. I agree, I hope this gets me banned as well, there would be no better example of no good deedmgoing unpunished.

What the hell happened after the first post? Did I miss something or am I supposed to read between the lines to find something negative in this thread? I'm pretty amazed at your reaction Nick. I have never seen you come unglued like this at any thread before so I guess I missed something. Hopefully someone can explain it to me.
Edit to add....I just read the thread multiple times and see nothing wrong with it. Why are you so pissed off Nick? As I read it, Jeff offered his wife's professional assistance towards the young lady and questioned her ability to operate an electronic device. The parents ASSUMED that his question meant that he would provide the Ipad which was a complete misunderstanding on the part of the parent. The parent then became irate when she found out that Jeff simply asked a question....not offered to send an Ipad. This is what I read from the thread.
