Watkins Glen,NY we will be hosting the NYFOC 7th Annual fiero show.
Friday 20th 2012 - just a relaxing get together at the DOBSON house with snacks
and the occassional fiero talk and finishing up goodie bags lol Weather
permitting possible bonfire.
Saturday 21st 2012 - NYFOC 7th Annual Fiero Car Show
8am -9:30 breakfast at Savards in watkins glen
10am - 2;30pm Fiero car show at the DECOY 5 miles North of Watkins Glen on the
right on ROUTE 14. Great location restrooms and cover in case of rain which will
NOT happen this year.. 2 car classes as of right now this might change Notchback
& Fastback, 50/50 raffle, door prizes, $7 pre-registration $10 registration
Pre-registration will be closed March 31st.
2:30 - ? we will rally together and cruise up to the WGI to do 3 paced laps in
a group setting of all fieros. As in previous years as those who know sometimes
you get extra laps and the speeds can vary. It is 55mph and they are paced but
as we all know this can be not the norm and I know for a fact some fieros have
done 100mph if not over on the course. We ask everyone to be respectful on the
track and please to obey the rules and or follow the group. Yes fieros have done
a few unique things on the track as had one fellow do a spin out on the one
corner, had another guy actually hit the light blue guard rail, but we do ask to
be respectful cuz if you do get caught they WILL ASK YOU TO LEAVE with NO
refund. We have never had an issue as of yet but I just please ask not to do
anything that would get the rest of the group kicked off by doing something
idiotic. We all here to have fun and I am working on us trying to get involved
with another club to do more track time if you are interested I would like to
know. The cost of this as of right now that I know of is $25 for 3 paced laps or
they usually have a deal $5o you get 9 paced laps, this is a donation to their
cause and I have no power over what they charge but it is always for a good
cause. Anyways we do not have to use all your tickets for laps on this day as we
usually will go up the next day also. We can stay there as long as everyone
feels like. I believe they like to close it at 4 so I will go by that time..
4pm - 5 pm cruise to a special location to take pictures by the lake
5:30pm - Decoy- for cocktails
6pm - ? Decoy -Dinner
After dinner we will head back to the Dobson house for fiero talk and drinks.
Sunday 22nd 2012
8:30am - ? Decoy for AWARDS and Breakfast then after this is all done if people
would like to go back up to the track we will cruise up to WGI.
