Ok, I’ll start this party……
My number one pick for the dumbest (and most annoying) car commercial ever has to go to the idiotic Subaru commercials that go, safety, blah, blah, blah, safety… and then end the commercial with “Suburu…Love”.
What a stupid concept to sell cars. In the words of Tina Turner, what’s love got to do with……. whether a car is good or bad, quality built, reliable, has low operating cost, is easy to service, etc.?

Your #1 pick for dumbest car commercial?
Kit

Well, it's not a car commercial.

Sorry, I don't know the product name but, it's an Australian underwear commercial with a shapely model and several Australian reptiles, a huge spider and so on. I've seen it multiple times and had to ask my wife what the commercial was selling after about the 10th time seeing it. I was so interested in all the weird creatures (my opinion) that I completely missed the intended message. No, I wasn't impressed with or goggling the model, just the different creatures both on and surrounding her.

It's an innocuous ad, but remember in 2008 when Toyota spammed SAAAVED BYYY ZEEEROO during every commercial break ever?

Not really a car commercial, per se, but those insipid "Kars for Kids" commercials just grate on my nerves.
Most recently they have one on television, that has a bunch of kids pretending (very badly) to be playing musical instruments.
Come on, guys. It's not clever - OR cute. Get a new theme song, FFS.
And now YOU can enjoy it! (Edit - This used to air during prime time, so they must be making tons of money off of those donated cars.)

The other one is a Kia K4(?) commercial. They have some sort of electronic music playing in the background. Hard to describe, but it contains a "munchkin" voice, and a series of "descending frequency" beeps.
It's not a bad car. And the commercial didn't suck, the first 300 times I heard it, but it's starting to wear thin.

Honorable mention goes to (again, not a car commercial) the Kroger commercial that has the Claymation(?) characters.
The music is "All the lonely people" by the band America. It's actually a "sweet" commercial, and I like the song, but it used to air every ten minutes.
That song was all but ruined for me.

From a few years ago the Dodge Charger/Challenger commercials that had a 10 year old kid driving around a city and smoking his tires.....

I guess they were trying to appeal to the F&F _ags......
