Please share your experience with deleted comments, namely, what you think triggers the inscrutable machine to censor you without any explanation or residual footprint. It just happened to me again and I'm pissed: I didn't include an email address or a website or write anything offensive. I DID ask the poster to please contact me on Facebook. Is that verboten now too?

Some stuff:

1. Video creators can set it to not allow comments until they "bless" them.

2. if you saw your comment, and it went away, later on the video creator may have deleted it.

OR

C. "Youtube" might have deleted it due to certain words, phrases, if your comment is similar to other ones, or if you have a flag on your account (if you have had complaints from other comments you have made

or

X. Youtube had a brain fart* with your account ---> There is a way you can post in the community and they will look into it (I had that happen with one of my accounts) There is an appeal process.

22. It could be your browser.

Eleventy-nine. Check this out : https://www.reddit.com/r/yo...ments_for_no_reason/

AI - "If your comment got deleted on YouTube, it's likely because it violated YouTube's community guidelines, was flagged as spam, or was removed by the channel owner due to potentially inappropriate content; sometimes automated systems can also mistakenly delete comments that don't break any rules.
Possible reasons your comment might have been deleted:
Policy violation:
Your comment might have contained hate speech, harassment, threats, or other content considered against YouTube's guidelines.
Spam:
If your comment was deemed repetitive, promotional, or irrelevant to the video, it could be automatically removed as spam.
Channel moderation:
The channel owner might have manually deleted your comment if they considered it inappropriate for their video.
Automated filtering:
YouTube's automated systems might have flagged your comment as potentially problematic even if it didn't violate any explicit rules.
What to do:
Review YouTube's Community Guidelines: Check if your comment truly violated any rules.
Check for notifications: Sometimes YouTube will notify you if your comment was removed and why.
Contact the channel owner: If you believe your comment was wrongly removed, you can try reaching out to the channel owner to explain your situation.
Appeal to YouTube: If you think your comment was mistakenly deleted, you can submit feedback through the YouTube Help Center explaining why you believe it was wrongly removed. "

One other thing, if you work at a job, and there are a bunch of machines, sometimes "The Youtube" doesn't like comments coming from ONE IP (The one 'external IP" your company routes their traffic through) Sometimes it will allow you to post a comment, but then it goes away.

Comments sometimes go away if you post the same comment as a reply to other comments, or the same comment more than once.

You can try leaving a test comment using a different account...

Good luck!

One word..Google. Censoring the internet one person at a time. I get my account locked for 24 hours every week due to comments that are considered "bullying" especially when I talk about what a piece of useless garbage Whoopie Goldberg is. They especially love to delete my comments and lock my account when I talk about what a political pussy Jimmy Kimmel is. Basically if a regulatory body doesn't stop the Google Nazis soon, they'll continue to think they own the internet.

Rather sad considering their original corporate motto: 'Don't Be Evil.'

Thanks for taking the time to post all of that. Gosh, there are so many ways to go astray. Methinks I am probably running up against the 'promotion' RULE. I'm writing the biography of Victor Young, who wrote a lot of music during the Golden Age of Hollywood, considered jazz 'standards' today and people post videos of their cover of many of his songs. Generally, I make a positive comment on a feature of the performance and might relate some background about the song, which I brazenly suppose might be of interest to people who like music. They post successfully but when I go back later they are usually gone. If the poster's channel doesn't include contact information, then it is very hard to reach them. Recently I merely replied to someone's comment on a post and even my reply was deleted. (I just asked the commenter to reach out to me.) It's enough to drive me to drink.
