I spent a few hours this morning listening to some random Bossa Nova, Samba and Batucada videos. It is the kind of thing I can get lost in. The rhythm is enthralling.

I haven't posted on PFF much over the past several years and I don't recall ever posting in O/T but this thread piqued my interest. Sergio Mendes' lead singer for years was Lonnie Hall, wife of Herb Alpert. "Herb Alpert Presents Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66" (A&M) is one of my all time favorite albums.
