A New Hope Apr 5, '24

A spin off that could work well as a soft forn erotic adventure, a lot of skin showing, inference, innuendo, a few thousand hentai and anime cartoon artists joining the effort to create a naughty, spicy science fiction universe. Sure, characters come to life at the next comic con, costumes of scantily clad heroines and chaste actress', demure and oh, so desirable.

Wow, those clips at Abandoned Films are incredible! Even though we're just witnessing the infancy of Artificial Intelligence, it appears that AI is making fantastic strides in regards to film/video. Hollywood has plenty to fear. This is eventually going to revolutionize the industry!

cartoons for adults..

The hokey video of the Legend of Zartha from MIB2 looked more realistic.

Don, if you believe that AI is only capable of producing "cartoons for adults", you're being incredibly shortsighted. It won't be long before actors, camera operators etc will no longer be required. It'll all be done with AI... and it'll look (pardon the pun) every bit as realistic as traditionally made TV shows and/or high budget movies.

What 'looks' and what 'is' are 2 different things. I've never been much on make believe, not since my pre-teenage years anyway. You can put lipstick on a pig, or you or me or Bruce Jenner all day long but it doesn't change what's real and what's fake.
Some people are more easily entertained than other I suppose, but when man has little or nothing left to do because CGI, AI and computer driven automation has taken over what man used to do, man will do what he has always done, if only because it's the only thing left. He'll make war and it won't be cgi, it will be what it's always been, real bombs, real blood and real bullets.

Not really. More fakery.

Many crow about how wonderful AI is, but all one has to do is look at what a little mistake in a little update did to global enterprises the last few days. What happens to AI without computers?
I and all it's fakery completely disappears from existence which is not huge problem as it was never real to begin with.

hi y'all.
just passing thru, fiero long gone.
i'm w/ don here.
it's going to become near-impossible to distinguish real from fake.
imagine video of your favorite politician giving nazi salutes. real? or fake?
jfk (or was it eisenhower?) banging his shoe on the podium, shouting "we will bury you!"
if you weren't there personally and remember it clearly, who's to say whether it actually happened?
good luck w/ that.
y'all take care, hear?

Hey stranger, nice to see you again. However, your memory is playing tricks on you. It was Nikita Khrushchev... and it was two different incidents. Shoe-banging, and "We will bury you!". And by the way, here's a faked image of Khrushchev banging his shoe. Reports of the event vary as to whether he actually banged the desk with his shoe or not.

As stated previously, fakery is nothing new.

I look at it from this perspective. There are those (and I'm not criticizing anyone here) that are mostly only infatuated with how AI can entertain them... and to be sure, that's coming. We're not far off from the movie Cherry 2000 (or 3000? I can't remember). But generally speaking, AI can help automate what humans already can do well, manually. It cannot do things that humans are unable to do (which people don't fully understand). It has the capacity for taking LEARNED HUMAN SKILLS, and applying it at scale. That is the best way that I can address the concept of AI. To a degree, it can also automate human learning, through concepts like reinforcement learning.

What "I" personally hope will come about AI, is that it will in many cases, expedite technology in the form of space travel, navigation, and science/engineering validation.

In the meantime... this other stuff pays the bills and keeps the technology development going.

Princess Leia with more hoot, yep, works for me.
That scene in the interrogation cell, Darth Vader and the torture drone, a damsel in distress, 38D cups, yep !
The camera pans away from the cell door, the audience left to their imaginations, ' What ever will become of the Princess ? '
' What will Darth Vader do to the Princess ? '
' Who will save the Princess ? '
' I'll do it ! I'll save the Princess ! ' ~ Every teen boy in the audience, and the older boys too, men.

' Squeeze me Luke ! '
' Kid, that's your sister ! '

The following production is a bit more involved than the very short AI movie "trailers" that have seem to be the norm up to now.

The trick, is understanding physics such that levitation is possible, counter gravity thrust.

The '60s would have been far better for teen boys with more skin showing on tv, Star Trek on b+w tv.
' Yeah, that's better, hold the bunny ears, I can see the hot actress in a skin tight ! '
Brought to you by Playtex, ' divide and lift ', cross your heart brassieres.
