Have never figured out why we celebrate such a dumb thing but, Happy Ground Hog Day to those that give a damn.

Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but … after a shooting, the problem is the gun.........

Shhhhhh... quiet, or they'll hear you! Groundhogs have excellent hearing and navigational skills.(That's why sea captains used to have them on their boats) I think GHD has something to do with angels and/or Bigfoot. I forget the exact detailsof that old fable, the groundhog and the sun used to date, and they they split up and it seriously bummed him out. Then he hated his shadow because even though he stopped googling her, he knew the sun was checkin' him out. Something like that. Maybe a fox was involved or something.

I dunno about that.

Over-sized mouse works one day a year, and all he does is look around. He gets waited on hand and foot, has servants, and lives in luxury. I'll take a gig like that. Rodents got us all fooled.

The French groundhog in Quebec met his maker.

Sudden death of Quebec's Fred la marmotte casts a shadow on Groundhog Day

Ron, The Ground Hogs Day prediction has been canceled.

My dog came to the porch yesterday with Punxsutawney Phil in his mouth.

After all the discussion on the proper spelling of "tidbit" starting Here, I'm surprised no one picked up on the fact that groundhog is one word.

You might find a groundhog in a burrow...

...whereas I dare say you might find ground hog in a pork casserole.
