I am not at all familiar with the source of this report. DNYUZ. Anyone?

The leaked document states that “Solomon Islands may, according to its own needs, request China to send police, armed police, military personnel and other law enforcement and armed forces to Solomon Islands to assist in maintaining social order, protecting people’s lives and property.”

It allows China to provide “assistance on other tasks” and requires secrecy, noting, “Neither party shall disclose the cooperation information to a third party.”

Matthew Wale, the leader of the opposition party in the Solomon Islands’ Parliament, said he feared that the “very general, overarching, vague” agreement could be used for anything.

“The crux of it is that this is all about political survival for the prime minister,” he said. “It has nothing to do with the national security of Solomon Islands.”

For Beijing, the deal could offer its own potential reward. “China may, according to its own needs and with the consent of Solomon Islands, make ship visits to, carry out logistical replenishment in and have stopover and transition in the Solomon Islands,” the draft states.

It also says the Solomons will provide “all necessary facilities.”

If you don't know where the Solomon Islands are, think Guadalcanal and Tulagi 1942.

Don't know. It's definitely not US-based, and none of their links at the bottom work... no about us, or contact information... all the links are bad. I assume it's just one of those fake news collator sites that just copies / pastes articles from other sites and posts them.

Seems legit though, here's a link from CNN (via MSN): https://www.msn.com/en-us/n...insulting/ar-AAVBR7R

https://hucksters.net/blog/dnyuz-exposed
Hucksters has exclusively exposed the owners of the increasingly popular DNyuz.com website that publishes thousands of news stories without any bylines, authors, or credits. Despite the total lack of transparency, the website has become one of the main sources for the web’s leading news aggregator, Drudge Report, which has been popular among the right-wing for many years.

The owner of DNyuz is Hayk Karapetyan, an Armenian citizen who has run a web design business for several years. He is also the founder of A1.AM, a lifestyle website in Armenia.

Despite maintaining a very private online presence — hiding his face on social media, etc — our team was able to track him down as the owner and developer of DNyuz using OSINT research methods.

We’ve also been able to conclude that while most of the articles on the site lack information about the authors, photographers, and so forth, nearly every article in fact appears to be copied from well known media sources online.
........................
Many hobbyists, [former] fans, and conspiracy theorists have taken to sites like Reddit, 8Kun, and blogs to try and figure out why Drudge became obsessed with linking DNyuz in recent months, with some users even accusing Israel, the US Department of Defense, or Russia of running the site for disinformation purposes, and/or having registered the domain in Armenia to avoid common anti-Russia firewall rules.

Turns out, it’s just a talented web developer from Armenia looking for some quick Adsense cash.

I suppose it's perspective, but from mine and ours... this is not good news. :/

The more China normalizes this territory as theirs... e.g. strategically building islands that they can call their own so that it all becomes within the territorial border (and not international waters), China basically gains more and more control. As you and I have said... everyone keeps saying China is going to collapse economically, and we should just wait it out. We know this isn't true. I feel like the people saying that are telling us to just wait it out so that we don't try to stop China and we just let them grow their international power.
