Not sure if that video will get Mrs. Wallen a record deal but, she does play well.
I wonder if she plays any wind instruments.
Vocally, she shouldn't go there IMO but, there is definitely potential talent there.

PSSST - If you find her talents (musical, physical, or both) and either/ both has improved the quality of your day, please "like" her video(s) and subscribe. she's got like 341 Subscribers and seeing a jump of even like ten in one day would probably improve the quality of HER day.

Mandolins are a great instrument , I dig 'em

For one, I like covers with em, its like hearing a song for the first time again. Or meeting a long lost friend again.

Maybe like an instrument that goes into falsetto?

I have posted many videos of my two favorite Mando players, Sam Bush and Sierra Hull, but the real king of the instrument is Chris Thile.

Not being a musician, I can only state my preference as to which sound was more pleasing to me. The guitar produces a much more pleasant sound.

Visually, well visually I like the shape of the mandolin. Absolutely, nothing else to say on that.

Found this interesting, as a layperson might not know this , thinking it might be like Fiddle vs Violin...

I think it compliments lower and mid toned instruments awesomely, or vice versa .

Sure its bar quality here, but its an example.

He mentioned "genre hopping". Genre hopping is one of the great things I like about music mashups.

Mandos are tuned the same as violins, whereas Ukes share the tuning with a C6 steel.

The Mandolin that we have come to know in the USA; archtop, Florentine (called F-style) with F holes, was developed by Orville Gibson and refined by Lloyd Loar. The construction is inspired by the violin. Most European Mandos still have flat tops and round or oval sound holes.
