His hitmaker songwriter Jim Steinman died last year.

Didn't know until I read his Obit that he was from TX.

I well remember many of his hit songs and could relate (at that time) to his music.

I just RE-listened to "Paradise-" and what an interesting song; Back around 2000 my GF had never heard that song so when I let her, she was blown away.

I don't like spoken words in my music and don't like gimmicks....But it worked in that song (And thanks Patrick for posting the song and the lyrics....Coulda saved time by just coming here to listen to it)

I was 21 years old when "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" was released back in 1977. It was such a unique song, and it spoke to all of us who had ever gone to watch the submarine races with our dates in a car. How many songs have a baseball play-by-play halfway through them? But hey, it works!
