Here's one from 1931 that is a bit more serious. "Bread Line Blues" was originally written and recorded by Bernard "Slim" Smith.
This recording is from 2002 and features Jorma Kaukonen, Sam Bush, (and I think)Bela Fleck and Jerry Douglas.
This is a great album for those who appreciate the music of that era.

Here is the original:

This song is called Candy Barr, but it is about a stripper who used to run around with Jack Ruby.

Jerry Riopelle used to put on one hell of a New Years concert here for many years. He passed on Christmas eve 2018.

Jack Ruby. Born Jacob Rubenstein. One of the name-changers.

My food song is Jimmy Buffett Cheeseburger in Paradise.

I'm surprised no one posted "Cheeseburger in Paradise"

"They're Red Hot" - Robert Johnson
Recorded 1936 in San Antonio, TX

Double entendre was a hallmark of the Blues. If you don't know what Bessie was singing about, your daddy will tell you when you're old enough.
Recorded in 1923
