Invasive species have caused damage all over this nation. Pythons... Everglades. Snakeheads... rivers and lakes. Lionfish... coral reefs. Just off the top of my head.

This "bigger fly swatter" talk is a dog whistle that signals communion with those among us who do not like to be made aware.

OK, here is why this is not a big deal. We have always had "giant murderous wasps" here. And they don't just murder poor little honey bees. No, they kill giant spiders! At least there is a little sport in that.

The hysteria is just so much racism, because the new interlopers are Asians.

These native American giant killer wasps live right here in my back yard.
