He won't live long, he pissed off too many powerful people and is still an active threat. Hopefully there's a literal "dead man's switch" set to go in the likely event of his assassination. He'll probably get similar treatment as Tommy Robinson.
Assange is why Snowden is in hiding in an undisclosed location. All the UK had to do was blackmail the Ecuadorian ambassador into cooperating.
I expect to hear he 'hanged himself' or similar soon.

If you read the news outside of US... For several years Ecuadorian had more and more rules and wanted him out because he made fools of them runs wikicrap while "hiding" and made a big mess living there. Ecuadorian was having a hard time to get rid of him w/o looking like idiots for allowing sanctuary cases to rest of the world.

All of this. The country of Ecuador could do no more for this leach.
Chelsea Manning. Anyone else follow him/her? You recall, the person pardoned by Obama, that ran for a government seat recently, and is currently in jail for current illegal activities? Assage has a lot to answer for those actions.

I'm all for transparency in govt, up to a point. I'm not much on liars in govt but fully understand "No comment" or "we can't comment due to security concerns". When govt lies to it's people, they open the can of worms themselves, although discretion is always the better part of valor.
There's a line that real journalists know is not to be crossed.

Not exactly 'current' illegal activities... Contempt charges relate to back to Manning's 2010 bullsheet...he refused to testify to a grand jury in March. Leavenworth, Portsmouth or even GTMO would be a nice place for him..but there is a huge outpouring of support for the scumbag.

I've got nothing against Assange. I wish he would release all of what he gets, but I understand he needs to have insurance policies.
I know he's got a past, but currently, he's just a depository for information. I pray for his safety, I understand his health has been getting worse over the past year or so. The Police having him sit in a window seat, and not wearing body armor is already not a good sign.
It's going to be an interesting case. Assange has a huge following worldwide, including in this country because he fed news organizations plenty of fodder, but his biggest problem is that he pizzed off every single sector of the political spectrum. Left, right, middle. The left is pizzed that he broke DoD code AND revealed it, and they aren't about to forgive him for releasing the Clinton email thing, and the right is equally upset about the security breach.
Journalists of all makes and models find things out all the time...sometimes intentionally, more often than not, by accident while investigating something completely unrelated. Knowing something tho, is not a crime. What has been seen cannot be unseen, but most journalists won't use or reveal the existence of the national security related secrets they find out. Assange (and Manning) did. The charge therefore, is 'revealing'. There may be more charges later, but for now, that's the one they will use. The prosecution will work within that one narrowly focused charge. Motive, won't be allowed in as evidence. In a different era, Assange would have been 'terminated' long ago. There is no telling what else he knows, who or how many other people he has entrusted info to and when/whether they will release it, but it's a good bet someone is waiting in the wings with a trove of yet to be released information.

Be careful what you wish for Brad. The problem with him, is he places no limits on himself and what he releases. He has a history of releasing information our own enemies in the world can and have used against us, sometimes with deadly effect and that makes him a very very dangerous and narcissistic personality.

She dont trust him anymore since he didnt say what she wanted to hear. Shes a bigger piece of **** than Putin. Best thing that can happen to the US is for her 'private' government jet airliner to crash taking her home along with Schumer going to visit. Wouldnt hurt if Clinton, Jackson and Farrakhan happened to be aboard too.
