In my "corporate days" I spent a good deal of time in Utah, (SLC, Ogden, etc.) .
I really like Utah and it's people a lot, but it was hard not to note that the LDS church has a lot of political power there.
Perhaps that's natural considering how the state was settled.
I also recall being asked by almost every restaurant server if I want
lemonade or water with my meal which seems to be a LDS "thing" as well.
Those folks sure have some strong opinions on caffeine as well as alcohol.
