A wall can't be unplugged, retuned or electronically hacked.

This technology is a great advance, and is very complimentary to a physical barrier, but not a stand-alone solution to the border security issue.

We are all not so ignorant that we actually believe any of this. The reason Democrats don't want a wall is 100% because they believe the people streaming over will eventually become new Democrat voters in one way or another. Period.

The reason why Republicans want a wall, is because of the opposite reason.

The reason Obama got rid of Miami's wetfoot / dryfoot policy, is exclusively because of the fact that the people coming over were all immediately becoming Republicans with full voting rights.

A virtual wall is just an excuse to not have a physical wall, because we know it can be eliminated through simply policy or EO. Once the wall is up, the optics of tearing it down would be horrific for the party in charge that would do such a thing. The optics of allowing people to stream in the open borders also, would be horrific optics for the party in charge allowing it.

Quite simply, building a wall begins to solve a problem that Democrats (and corporate Republicans) don't want solved.

Yep, they settle in California, get counted in the census and become new house seats and electors. Remember that the number of seats, and therefore electors, is based on the number of residents, not citizens. And, which states have the highest numbers of resident aliens?
