It's a great story, but I can't stand that robot voice. It's hard for me to understand.

I agree completely.
I couldn't find a better one in the same format.

That is "reporting" now. How many times have any of us clicked on a recent story only to find Mr. Roboto speaking? Just less annoying is the music of great importance playing while script pops up in different areas of the screen for that chicken little affect.

The Viktor Belenko story is a great one. There are many stories of bravery coming from that region of the world. I love history.

Edit: No negs given. Just seems to be the normal flow since folks left OT?

It is Text to Speech output and is used by mainly 3 groups...
Disable users like Steven Hawking and millions of others.
People that don't speak English well.
People that don't want YT BS invaded their lives or hiding problems with the story told like many "fake news" items.

Many use free or OS bundled TtS programs or web sites and you often get poor quality output. Often worse output when you copy/past text and just use default settings.
Some use paid software/services like Naturalsoft's NaturalReader w/ a lot better voices.

I was privileged to meet Viktor Belenko back in the late 80s and he signed my copy of the book about him.

Along with my signed copy of Eddie Rickenbacker's biography, they're some of my favorite "treasures".

I wonder if this inspired the movie 'Firefox'?
