San Francisco and San Mateo counties have the highest limits in the Bay Area — and among the highest such numbers in the country. A family of four with an income of $105,350 per year is considered “low income.”

Oh the joys of past memories. Can I laugh?
Around 12-15 years ago I was approached in a parking lot to sign a petition for a ballot measure when I lived in California. It was for a tax to fund the mental illness facilities. When I refused to sign the lady said " What, do you ever plan to make more than $100,000 a year? " because the tax was only applied to those who made more than $100,000 a year. My response was " Why is it any more the responsibility of those who make more than $100,000 a year to take care of the mentally ill than it is for anyone who makes less than $100,000? " Now I can see another aspect to it. As inflation rises, peoples incomes will supposedly rise to adjust. At some point in the future, $100,000 income may be very commonplace.
