I need Kindle Fire to start Free Time app on startup so kids can just turn the tablet on themselves. I'm not around, and the kids are sneaky enough to figure out the codes by watching the person doing them.... And she's not computer savvy enough to stop this from happening...

Thanks in advance, sent from my phone, so apologies for any errors until I can log in on the computer.

So you need it to prevent them from unlocking the tablet, or to allow them to unlock the tablet?

It's the app that runs all the kids programs. When it's opened it blocks the rest of the tablet from being accessed. If they go to leave and go to the main screen it asks for a password.

So I guess I need it to prevent them from unlocking the tablet.

I've never tried it myself so I can't offer first-hand knowledge but this site discusses it and offers a couple of solutions:

I use Qustodio for PC/Tablet/Phone time management for my kid.

www.qustodio.com
Requires a password to unlock the app outside of time limits.
Blocks all settings/etc, and allows you to control specific applications that can be used on a device.

I used one a few years ago called Kid's Place for Android. It would automatically boot into the app if the tablet was restarted. I also turned the wifi off manually instead of relying on the software to do so- just in case.
