This always floors me. It's like there's a supernova of passion and she's barely cracking the door to let the light out lest we be burned alive if the door were flung wide open. There's a lot of power, heart and dare I say heartache, in that little voice of hers.
Absolutely beautiful execution of a great song, thanks for posting that.

One that brings a tear to my eyes was a 70s movie called Ice Castles. Its about a figure skater (Lynn Holly Johnson) who falls and is permanently blinded, but her boyfriend and a rink owner help her learn a performance she does blind. She thought her career was ended, but she followed thru to standing ovations. Make sure you watch the 2nd part in the link too.

I have two that really get to me; "Seasons in the Sun" By Terry Jacks, Just rips your heart out.
Also, Heart's "Dreamboat Annie"....This one has a line in it, "Riding on the Diamond waves"....From when I was 4 till 18 every year we would boat camp at Trinity lake...later, I camped there every year (Basically) from 1999 to 2018....In the afternoon, the wind would come up, and I liked to sit on a lounge chair in the trees and read...Looking thru the trees, you could see the sun glinting off the waves.....My father took a picture of a boat towing a skier basically lost in the sun glint......We always thought that pic should be captioned "Last ride of the day"
