Something about this makes me uneasy. Especially when we all know how computers can have brain farts.

From Road & Track.............

quote
“The optional brakes are monstrous carbon-ceramic numbers… but (the system) doesn’t suffer from the hellish grabbiness of most regens. The reason? The NSX uses a brake-operation simulator. You press the pedal and the car reads your foot pressure, then calculates the correct amount of hydraulic and regenerative braking force (required) to yield the desired result. A small electric motor pushes back on the brake pedal to give you the illusion of “feel”. It sounds terrifying, but it works.”

But, I'm sure someone will want to adapt this onto a Fiero.

I'll take the NSX...you can have my old Fiero in it's place.

Edit: I wonder if it looks anything like it does in those simulate photos.

I have to agree. The NSX has to be better.

Anything European is a POS unless it has under 20,000 miles and has a warranty.

I made the mistake of owning a few.

I disagree. The only asian car I EVER liked was the original NSX. I much prefer european cars. Ive had a lot, and most were pretty much trouble free, including Porsche 911s, several Mercedes SLs, Citreon and more. Most of them I put 200K on without any real issues. One AMG SL was a 73 and never had any mechanical problems at all in a dozen years. Looked and drove brand new till the day I sold it. I occasionally still see it around town. All I really ever did was points, plugs, tires and batteries.

Porsche - Check

Mercedes - Check

VW - Check

Jag - Check

Audi - Check

All POS and/or poorly and/or cheaply built. Probably some of the least dependable vehicles I've ever owned next to GM's. Out of the group, Mercedes was the most dependable when it ran but had one of the worst A/C systems.

This was the last (hopefully) euro car I owned................

Plastic pile of crap..............

that's interesting considering Porsche has won awards for having one of the most reliable cars on the market. Pieces of crap?...not quite.

Yeah that's right, it's me.

By the time I was 26 I owned 48 cars. That was a long time and a lot of cars, trucks, Harleys and Indians ago.

Euro cars are scrap and trust me, I'm being nice.

And for what it's worth.... The AMC Eagle Wagon and the Renault Alliance were cars of the year as well. Tell me how good those were.

You're right, it does.

I don't like the bubble roof and the roof is too tall (or at least appears that way).

Thats just what happens when you shop for and buy the cheapest, oldest, unmaintained ones you can find. When you buy a $2000 Mercedes from an impound lot, your not going to be getting a good one.

You might catch up with me, but ive had going on 300 different cars from only the US and Europe. No trucks, bikes or asian. I usually bought decent ones to start with...and a lot were like new, and a lot were high mile maintained ones. One of my uncles died a few years ago and was still driving his 1958 VW bug he bought new when I was in grade school. It had a few Earl Scheib $20.00 paint jobs, but no rust holes. My 73 Mercedes had 200K on it, still a show car in and out, and I often drove it on vacations to Florida and Texas. I never had a breakdown. Mercedes is the choice of world wide cabbies because of low maintenance.

Unless they are collectible or special interest, all my vehicles are between 1 and 3 years old when I buy them, extremely low miles or both. Only fools buy new.
