I'd do it. I'd take lots of breaks.

It's not that scary...just an endless ladder...

He's even got a safety-hook thingie!

Would not be fun to do that during a thunderstorm...
and

I'd prefer to NOT hafta climb back down, though... maybe hop off w/ a parachute or somethin'

But yeah, I'd SO do that!

I keep replaying it looking for the H😖😉ters halfway up and didn't see it. I think I'm going to have to pass on this one especially after I went down for a second bulb.

Someone got killed in Michigan, last week, base jumping off of a 1000 foot tower with a wing suit and parachute.

What Tower Climbers Make

Salaries for radio tower climbers vary, depending on their location and the demand for their occupation in their area. They may work temporary or permanent positions. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics classifies radio tower climbers under radio, cellular and tower equipment installers and repairers. In 2013, most of them earned an annual salary between $26,990 and $73,150. The mean annual wage was $48,380.

I work atop an oil drilling rig (sometimes). Just under two hundred feet sometimes, usually at about 120 feet. What's another 1,500 feet ? It's the stop which kills 'ya if you fall.

In this day and age with all the remote copters and quad copters why aren't they changing those bulbs that way now?

The heights don't bother me, its that sudden stop at the bottom of the fall.

one foot is an ag pilot, 100 feet is thrill-seekers, and 1500 feet is when ya go for a nap and ask somebody to wake ya when we get closer to the ground,
